Role Description The PLC-Plant Operator will oversee day-to-day operation of plant equipment and PLC-controlled systems to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent production. This full-time remote role involves monitoring process parameters, adjusting settings in PLC interfaces, and responding to alarms or equipment irregularities in coordination with on-site teams. The role includes implementing standard operating procedures, supporting quality control checks, and documenting production data and incidents. The PLC-Plant Operator will collaborate with maintenance and operations staff to troubleshoot technical issues, optimize machine performance, and uphold safety and environmental standards aligned with EFK’s sustainability goals.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong plant operations skills, including experience with production processes and coordination of plant activities.
• Candidates should possess machine operation skills, with familiarity in running automated equipment and PLC-controlled machinery.
• Candidates should possess maintenance-related skills, such as basic equipment troubleshooting and support for preventive maintenance routines.
• Candidates should possess quality control skills, including monitoring product standards, documenting results, and reporting deviations.
• Candidates should possess forklift operation skills or experience with safe material handling using industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of PLC systems (programming basics, interface monitoring) and industrial automation is highly beneficial.
• Diploma or degree in engineering, industrial technology, or a related field is preferred, along with experience in manufacturing, agribusiness, or energy sectors.
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and ability to collaborate effectively with remote and on-site teams.
• Comfort with using digital tools, remote monitoring systems, and documentation platforms.
