PMO (Power Plant - Transition Programs Project Manager)

Requirement Summary

• Job-Role/Title: Project Manager (PMO - Transition Program)
• Anticipated Start Date: 2-3 weeks from offer (pending background checks)
• Job Type: Contract Opportunity. Initial contract for 16 months, with good possibilities of further extensions.
• Job Location: Canada.
• Work Style: Remote Work with potential on-site requirements (Travel Expenses paid).
• Work Hours: 40 hours/week, typically Monday-Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Contractor to work extra time or be on-call: Yes, on-call rotation (Monday to Sunday) as required.
• Rate Cap: Depending on relevant experience. The final compensation will be negotiated between the contractor and recruiter based on experience and engagement terms.
• Interview: Teams interviews; 2 interviews.

Required Experience and Skills for this Role:

1. Engagement Lead – Minimum 15 years

• Must have substantial experience in project management governance, PMO/PMCoE development, organizational transformation, and competency-based qualification programs.
• Previous experience leading similar consulting assignments is essential.

2. Project Management Capability Assessment Specialists – Minimum 8+ years

• Experience conducting structured PM competency interviews, reviewing qualifications and project experience, developing scoring matrices, calibrating assessments, and producing capability assessment reports.

3. Training and Competency Development Specialist – Minimum 8+ years

• Experience designing competency frameworks, performing training needs assessments, and developing adult learning programs and training materials.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in nuclear, energy, major capital projects, engineering, or similarly regulated environments.

Ideal Consultants for this Role must provide:

• Detailed resume identifying relevant consulting assignments.
• Examples of similar engagements completed within the last 10 years, including their specific responsibilities and outcomes.
• Any sanitized examples of relevant competency frameworks, PMO implementation plans, or assessment deliverables that the candidate is authorized to share.
