【Recruitment Background】

The company is driving digital transformation (DX) in the legal industry by developing AI products that leverage one of Japan’s largest legal datasets. In 2022, they established a dedicated R&D lab to research and implement the social integration of products combining legal expertise with Generative AI.


As a result of these efforts, in August 2024, the company announced the release of a technological foundation that graphs vast amounts of legal data—including laws, precedents, guidelines, and literature—and integrates it with Generative AI to master comprehensive legal professional knowledge. Furthermore, with the release of a new product in May 2025, they continue to lead the legal tech industry.


To further accelerate AI product development and enhance quality, the company is strengthening its MLOps framework to streamline and automate the entire machine learning model lifecycle. They are looking for a proactive and highly skilled MLOps Engineer to build an environment where processes from experimentation to development and operations run smoothly, allowing ML engineers to focus on more creative tasks.


【Responsibilities】

As the first MLOps engineer on the team, you will lead the development of the overall systems supporting the training and operation of ML and LLMs. You will also take a lead role in developing agent systems that fully utilize ML/LLM technologies, which are at the core of the company’s products.

・Design, build, and automate the lifecycle processes for machine learning model experimentation, development, and operations.

・Develop and manage infrastructure for handling training data, models, and experimental results.

・Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines tailored for ML workflows.

・Define and execute deployment strategies to ensure safe and rapid model deployment.

・Design and implement signals for model evaluation and training optimization.

・Establish and operate monitoring systems to track model performance and propose improvements.

・Collaborate with ML engineers to enhance development efficiency and product quality.

・Research and introduce cutting-edge MLOps technologies and share knowledge within the team.

【About the Product】

The product is a core technology that combines generative AI with a database uniquely constructed by the company.


The core of this technology is a proprietary database that centralizes a vast and diverse range of legal data—including laws, guidelines, judicial precedents accumulated by the company group, legal literature, legal consultation records, and expert insights from lawyers. These various data points are organized into a graph structure to map their complex relationships. By integrating generative AI with this foundation, the company is able to provide legal services with unprecedented convenience and accuracy.

【Required】

Development experience using Python and similar languages

Experience operating systems utilizing machine learning models and large language models (LLMs)

Development and operational experience on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)

Experience using container technologies (Docker, etc.)

Basic knowledge of machine learning (understanding of the model development lifecycle)


【Preferred】

Experience in designing, building, and operating infrastructure for large-scale systems including machine learning models and LLMs

Experience building infrastructure for training machine learning models and fine-tuning LLMs

Experience building evaluation platforms using LLMOps/MLOps tools such as Langfuse and Weights & Biases

Experience using IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
