Job Title: Freelance Power Platform Developer (1-Year Contract)

Location: Belgium (Hybrid: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Power Platform Developer with approximately 5 years of experience to join our digital transformation team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day development of Power Apps, complex Power Automate flows, and SharePoint solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders to translate user requirements into functional applications while adhering to the governance framework set by our Senior Architect.

Key Responsibilities

1. Development & Implementation

• Participate in the end-to-end implementation of Canvas and Model-Driven Power Apps based on wireframes and user stories.
• Build robust Power Automate flows to automate approvals, document generation, email notifications, and data synchronization between SharePoint, Dataverse, and other systems.
• Develop SharePoint Online solutions, including custom lists, document libraries, content types, and site column configurations.
• Integrate Power Apps with Dataverse, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, and third-party APIs using standard connectors.

2. Business Analysis & Process Improvement

• Conduct thorough analysis of business workflows (e.g., HR onboarding, procurement approvals, incident tracking) to identify automation opportunities.
• Perform root-cause analysis on user-reported bugs (e.g., "My flow failed," or "The app is slow") and implement sustainable fixes.
• Refactor and optimize existing Canvas Apps to respect delegation limits and reduce load times.

3. Data Migration & Maintenance

• Actively perform data migration tasks, including moving structured data from Excel spreadsheets or legacy SharePoint lists into Dataverse tables.
• Execute Dataflow loads or use Power Query within Power Apps to clean and transform data pre-migration.
• Maintain and support existing Power Apps and Flows, ensuring they function correctly after Microsoft updates.

4. Documentation & User Training

• Document technical configurations, data dictionaries, and user manual guides.
• Deliver end-user training sessions and "office hours" to empower business teams to use the applications effectively.
• Manage solutions and managed/unmanaged layers across Dev/Test/Prod environments.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of IT/development experience, with at least 3 years dedicated to the Microsoft Power Platform.
• Experience in at least 2 full-cycle implementations (from gathering requirements to go-live).
• Demonstrated involvement in at least one data migration into Dataverse or SharePoint.
• Strong proficiency in Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven) and Power Automate (Cloud Flows).
• Solid experience with SharePoint

Languages

• Fluent in English (required for collaboration).
• Fluent in French or Dutch (required for client/stakeholder communication).
