The role We’re looking for an ambitious and curious Analyst to join our London team. This is an established Analyst position, broadly equivalent to Account Executive/Senior Account Executive level , and would suit someone who already has experience within a communications agency and is ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll have a strong grounding in the fundamentals of corporate communications and be ready to take greater ownership of your work, build your client and media relationships, and further develop your strategic communications skills. Working as part of our specialist financial and corporate communications team, you’ll support high-profile clients, help shape impactful communications programmes and contribute ideas that strengthen both our clients’ reputations and our own business. What you’ll be doing No two days are the same in strategic communications, but you can expect to: Prepare for and contribute to client meetings, including drafting agendas, activity reports and other materials with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Support the submission of company announcements to the Regulatory News Service (RNS) of the London Stock Exchange. Conduct in-depth research and analysis to inform client strategies, recommendations and communications programmes. Monitor news, media coverage and wider market developments, identifying stories and issues that could impact our clients. Spot emerging news, media and editorial trends and help translate these into proactive opportunities and advice for clients. Develop targeted media lists and increasingly take ownership of media outreach. Continue to build strong relationships with journalists and other key media contacts. Independently draft high-quality communications materials, including press releases, social media content, blogs and other written materials, with limited input from senior team members. Support the delivery of client campaigns and projects, taking ownership of agreed activities and deadlines. Contribute to new business pitches and proposals, including research, ideas and content development. Support CDR’s own marketing and profile-building activity, including content for channels such as LinkedIn. About you We’re looking for someone who brings: Relevant communications agency experience , ideally within corporate, financial, business or reputation communications. A genuine and demonstrable interest in business, financial markets and current affairs , and an appetite to understand what they mean for organisations and their reputations. Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate and engaging content for different audiences and channels. Confidence communicating with clients, journalists and colleagues, with a desire to continue developing these relationships. Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to producing consistently high-quality work. The ability to organise and prioritise multiple tasks, meet deadlines and respond confidently in a fast-paced environment. A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership, use initiative and look for ways to add value. A collaborative, positive and can-do approach to working as part of a team. Confidence using technology and core Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
