Missoula Bone & Joint and Surgery Center is hiring for a full-time Pre-Authorization Specialist that will specialize in researching patient insurances and contacting insurances to obtain authorization for services and procedures on behalf of the patient as well as Medicaid eligibility and Passport authorizations. The Pre-Authorization Specialist will be scheduled This position is 40 hours per week with a working schedule of Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm. This role is fully remote and requires the employee to reside in Montana. However, during the training period, the role will be onsite at our campus . What to expect from this role We are seeking a detail-oriented Pre-Authorization Specialist to provide timely insurance pre-authorization and pre-certification support for our healthcare team. Responsibilities include gathering and submitting medical records and supporting documentation to insurance companies, verifying Medicaid eligibility, obtaining Passport authorizations when necessary, and updating patient insurance and demographic information. The position will communicate with insurance companies and internal staff to help expedite authorizations while maintaining compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and Red Flag Rules. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting quality patient care while continuing to develop their knowledge and skills.
