Welcome to our team! What you can expect: The team of Univ.-Prof. Dr. iur. Matthias Lehmann, D.E.A. (Paris II), LL.M., J.S.D. (Columbia) is seeking a pre-doctoral university assistant (prae doc) with a particular interest for cross-border and comparative legal issues, starting in October 2026, to support teaching and research in Private International Law and International Business Law . The announcement is made for four years, with the employment relationship initially limited to 1.5 years and automatically extended to a total of four years unless the employer submits a declaration of non-renewal after a maximum of 12 months. Your future tasks: You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means: We expect you to finalise your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months. You participate in publications / academic articles. You are involved in research projects and scientific studies. You are involved in organising conferences, meetings, and symposia. You apply for projects and raise (external) funds. Independent teaching of courses defined by the collective agreement. You supervise students. You participate in evaluation activities and in quality assurance. You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
