PreSales Consultant – Data Protection & Encryption | BeNeLux | Full Remote | Permanent
Can you explain how an HSM works, demo a PKI solution, and write a compelling RFP response all in the same week?
Opportunity for PreSales Consultant for a world-leading data protection and encryption company, to cover the BeNeLux region. This is a permanent role, fully remote, based in Belgium or the Netherlands.
The portfolio includes some of the most trusted security products on the market: Hardware Security Modules, Key Management solutions, PKI, and data security platforms used by banks, payment processors, cloud providers, and enterprises worldwide. If you’ve ever worked with products in this space, you’ll know the name.
🎯 What you’ll do:
- Work closely with regional sales teams as the technical expert on data protection and encryption projects
- Engage with partners and customers to gather requirements, understand use-cases, and map them to solutions
- Own the Proof of Concept phase — hands-on configuration, customisation, and integration support
- Present solutions clearly to both technical and business audiences
- Respond to RFIs and RFPs; author technical documentation and test reports
- Interface with hundreds of 3rd-party applications, APIs and integrations across the territory

✅ What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years’ experience in a customer-facing IT role — PreSales, Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting or similar
- Solid knowledge of cryptography and security: PKI, certificates, encryption, hashing, digital signatures
- Hands-on experience with security APIs: PKCS#11, OpenSSL, Microsoft CSP/CNG, Java JCA/JCE
- Comfortable with cloud and virtualisation environments (AWS, Azure, VMware, Docker)
- Experience with databases and ideally database security/auditing (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, Postgres)
- Familiarity with SIEM/SOAR platforms and incident management processes
- Experience or knowledge of payment security standards (EMV, PCI DSS, TR31/TR34) — a plus
- Able to present confidently to both technical and business audiences
- Technical degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Maths) or equivalent experience
- Based in Belgium or the Netherlands
