Pricing Strategy Specialist | Industrial Technology
Location: Bern, Switzerland (hybrid)
International Industrial Environment
Ready to Shape Pricing Strategy, Not Just Manage Prices?
Are you an experienced pricing professional who enjoys working with numbers, developing commercial strategies and bringing structure to complex environments?
Would you like to take ownership of pricing initiatives within an established Swiss industrial technology company with a strong international presence?
I am currently supporting a well-established, internationally active Swiss technology and engineering organisation in the search for a Pricing Strategy Specialist to join its team in the Bern region.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to move beyond day-to-day pricing activities and play an influential role in developing pricing strategies, processes and structures across Swiss and international markets.
You will have the freedom to challenge existing approaches, introduce improvements and help build a more structured, transparent and effective pricing environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Pricing Strategy & Development: Develop and optimise pricing strategies, models and structures to support commercial performance and profitability.
- International Pricing: Establish consistent and transparent pricing approaches across different products, markets and distribution channels.
- Data Analysis: Analyse market trends, competitor positioning, customer data, costs and margins to support informed pricing decisions.
- Process Optimisation: Design, implement and continuously improve pricing processes, both locally and internationally.
- ERP & Data Management: Work with ERP systems to maintain and improve pricing information, master data and pricing accuracy.
- Price Adjustments: Review and update pricing based on market developments, production costs, currency fluctuations and commercial objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Management, Sales, Finance/Controlling and other stakeholders to align pricing decisions with business objectives.
What We are Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in pricing, ideally within an industrial, engineering, manufacturing or technical environment.
- Practical experience working with ERP systems.
- Strong analytical capabilities, commercial awareness and confidence working with complex numerical data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence people across different departments.
- A proactive, independent and hands-on approach, with the confidence to develop structures and processes rather than simply follow existing ones.
- Fluent German (C1 minimum) and strong English communication skills.
- Commercial or technical educational background, ideally complemented by further studies in Business Administration or a comparable qualification.
Additional Advantages:
- Experience in product management or data management.
- Previous exposure to industrial products, manufacturing, engineering or technically complex product portfolios.
- Experience developing or improving pricing processes in an international business.
- French language skills.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
Established Swiss Industrial Organisation: Join a respected, internationally active company known for high-quality engineered products and technical innovation.
International Exposure: Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders across Switzerland and international markets.
Real Ownership & Influence: Take responsibility for improving pricing structures and introducing processes that will have a measurable impact on the business.
Build Something Meaningful: This is not simply a role focused on maintaining established pricing processes. You will have the opportunity to shape how pricing is managed and developed going forward.
Collaborative Environment: Work alongside experienced professionals across product management, commercial and finance functions.
Professional Development: Benefit from attractive further training and development opportunities.
Attractive Employment Conditions: Competitive salary, above-average pension benefits and a hybrid working arrangement.
