Your Mission

This is a hands-on technical role. You will design and build backend systems, make architectural decisions, establish engineering standards, and help other engineers solve complex technical problems.

Responsibilities (Your Day-to-Day)

• Own and influence the architecture of critical backend systems across multiple domains
• Design scalable and resilient solutions using C#, .NET and microservices
• Design and evolve event-driven and asynchronous workflows
• Define service boundaries, integration approaches and communication patterns
• Make architectural decisions considering scalability, reliability, maintainability and operational complexity
• Establish and promote engineering standards, patterns and best practices across teams
• Help engineers make better technical decisions through mentoring, design reviews and code reviews
• Drive improvements in performance, observability, testing, CI/CD and production reliability
• Proactively identify technical risks and opportunities before they become problems

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, with significant experience building backend systems using C# and .NET.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and operating microservices and distributed systems in production.
• Proven experience with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, Azure Service Bus, AWS SQS or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous systems and failure scenarios, including concepts such as: idempotency, retries, dead-letter queues, eventual consistency, transactional messaging
• Strong experience with relational databases and SQL Server; Azure SQL experience is highly valued.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles such as DDD, SOLID and Clean Architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, including serverless services such as Azure Functions.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD and production observability.
• Experience mentoring other engineers and influencing technical decisions across teams.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Previous experience using AI development assistants as part of the engineering workflow
