About the Client
Our client is a large, well-established restaurant brand that is expanding into new international markets. Its international technology organization supports restaurants, regional business units and corporate teams across a growing set of countries. That ecosystem is becoming more connected every year, spanning restaurant operations, point of sale, menu, payments, inventory, supply chain, financial systems, support, customer digital experiences and enterprise reporting. As it grows, the need for data that is trusted, usable, well governed and tied to outcomes becomes more critical. The client's name is withheld for confidentiality.
About the Role
You will help shape, mature and scale the data capabilities that support the client's international technology ecosystem, its corporate staff and its restaurant owners. Acting as product owner and strategic partner, you will be responsible for the data products, reporting capabilities, integrations and insights that help restaurants, regional business units, shared-services teams and business partners make better decisions with greater confidence.
You will define the vision, priorities, requirements, roadmap and adoption approach for international data products and insights, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Data and Analytics, Operations, Finance, Support, regional business units and vendors to make sure data is accurate, connected, understandable and actionable.
This role is central to the client's international growth strategy. The right person brings a product mindset, strong data fluency, business acumen and the ability to turn complex ecosystem needs into clear product capabilities that improve visibility, reduce manual work, strengthen operational confidence and create repeatable patterns for future markets.
What You'll Do
- Lead the product strategy, roadmap and ongoing maturity of the data products and reporting capabilities that support the international technology ecosystem.
- Partner with international restaurant technology product owners to understand data needs across point of sale, payments, menu, digital ordering, inventory, supply chain, restaurant financials, support and market enablement.
- Translate business needs, restaurant realities, regional priorities and technical constraints into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and measurable outcomes.
- Define and prioritize data product features based on business value, restaurant impact, supportability, scalability, data quality and reuse across markets.
- Serve as a key liaison between Product, Engineering, Data and Analytics, Operations, Finance, Support, regional business units, vendors and enterprise partners to align on data definitions, ownership, availability and usage.
- Improve visibility into restaurant performance, operational health, product adoption, market readiness, support trends, financial accuracy and ecosystem performance.
- Establish trusted data patterns for current and future markets, including repeatable approaches to reporting, dashboards, data integration, data validation, documentation and decision support.
- Partner with technical and analytics teams to make sure data pipelines, integrations, reporting models and analytical products meet business needs and are designed for scale.
- Support data readiness for market launches, product rollouts and major transitions by identifying data dependencies, gaps, quality risks, reporting needs and adoption requirements.
- Build and maintain a prioritized backlog for international data products, balancing urgent business needs with long-term scalability.
- Define success measures and monitor product performance, adoption, data quality, support trends and business outcomes to guide continuous improvement.
- Create clear documentation, communication and enablement materials that help stakeholders understand available data products, definitions, reporting capabilities, known limitations and decision paths.
- Partner with support and operations teams to identify recurring issues, reporting gaps, data quality concerns and opportunities to improve reliability and operational confidence.
- Collaborate with vendors and external partners wherever data is created, transformed, exchanged or consumed across the ecosystem.
- Reduce manual reporting, spreadsheet workarounds, inconsistent definitions and duplicated effort across markets, regional business units and shared-services teams.
- Support product and leadership decisions by turning complex information into clear insights, trade-off recommendations and actionable next steps.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience.
- A strong product mindset, with the ability to connect data capabilities to business outcomes, restaurant needs and long-term scale.
- Ability to understand business processes and translate them into clear data requirements, reporting needs and decision-support capabilities.
- Strong data fluency, including the ability to reason through data definitions, quality issues, source systems, integrations, reporting logic and stakeholder interpretation.
- Ability to define what good looks like for a data product, including usability, trust, adoption, accuracy, clarity, supportability and business value.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align Product, Engineering, Analytics, Operations, Finance, Support, regional business units, vendors and leadership.
- Ability to operate in ambiguity, make thoughtful recommendations and drive teams to decisions when requirements, ownership or data maturity are still evolving.
- Strong prioritization skills, balancing immediate market needs, restaurant impact, support needs, technical complexity and scalability.
- Ability to identify recurring pain points and turn them into durable product improvements rather than one-time fixes.
- Strong communication skills, including clear documentation, explaining trade-offs, summarizing decisions and telling a compelling story with data.
- Ability to think systemically across products, platforms, processes and teams.
- Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, ownership, a service-oriented mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities, partners and dependencies.
- Ability to manage vendor relationships and hold partners accountable for outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
- 10 or more years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of software development processes, methodologies and tools.
