This role takes over day-to-day management of the platform, ensuring it is secure, reliable, well-integrated, and supportable as Enlyte's data footprint grows.

This senior individual contributor builds and supports integrations, applies security controls to protect regulated claims data, and partners with tech leads across Technology Engineering & Platforms to establish observability and platform management standards. The role is a key part of the organization's transition to a product delivery model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer the Snowflake platform, including accounts, warehouses, databases, environments, configuration, and platform upgrades
  • Manage the additional tooling that comes with Snowflake, including connectors, drivers, data loading services (Snowpipe), and partner tools
  • Design, build, and support integrations between Snowflake and source systems, AWS services, and downstream consumers
  • Implement and maintain platform security controls, including network policies, encryption, data masking, and audit logging, in partnership with the Security team
  • Partner with tech leads to establish observability for the platform, including monitoring, alerting, usage, and performance visibility
  • Monitor platform health and performance; troubleshoot issues and support resolution of Snowflake-related incidents
  • Automate administrative tasks and support platform configuration as code (Terraform, CI/CD) where applicable
  • Track platform consumption and identify opportunities to optimize warehouse sizing and credit usage
  • Document platform standards, runbooks, and support processes so the platform is sustainable and supportable
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for the Snowflake vendor relationship, including support cases, roadmap, and new feature evaluation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, database administration, or data platform roles
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Snowflake in a production enterprise environment
  • Strong experience building and supporting data integrations (Snowpipe, connectors, APIs, ETL/ELT tooling)
  • Strong cloud engineering experience, primarily AWS, including the services that integrate with Snowflake
  • Strong SQL skills and scripting experience (Python or similar)
  • Experience implementing security controls for sensitive or regulated data (PHI/PII, HIPAA)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner with and influence technical leaders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SnowPro Core and SnowPro Advanced: Administrator or Architect certification
  • Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools for Snowflake management
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools for data platforms
  • Experience with dbt, Airflow, or similar data orchestration and transformation tools
  • Experience in insurance, claims, healthcare, or financial services technology environments
  • Experience with organizational transformation from project-based to product/service delivery models
