Principal Data Scientist
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and drive the data science strategy for the platform.
- Lead the development of advanced analytics, statistical models, machine learning, and AI solutions.
- Identify opportunities to generate business value through data science and advanced analytics.
- Translate business challenges into data-driven products and actionable insights.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable data science solutions.
- Drive innovation by applying modern data science techniques and identifying opportunities to improve data practices.
- Mentor and develop data scientists while fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Champion best practices in data science, data governance, responsible AI, and data ethics.
- Communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Ensure data science products are delivered effectively and supported throughout their lifecycle.
WHO YOU ARE
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field, or Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong academic or professional background in machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistical modeling, and data analysis.
- Strong expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and advanced analytics.
- Proficiency in Python and/or R.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, pandas, and NumPy.
- Advanced knowledge of statistical methods, including hypothesis testing, regression, clustering, and classification.
- Experience with SQL and relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Spark and Hadoop.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading and mentoring data science teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to evaluate assumptions, limitations, and quality of data.
- Experience working in cross-functional and interdisciplinary environments.
- Ability to align data science initiatives with business objectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of responsible AI, data ethics, privacy, and data governance principles.
