We are looking for a Principal Data Scientist to join our Foundry team in Consumer Analytics at CVS Health. • Establishes analytical rigor and statistical methods to analyze large amounts of data, using advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses, including bias control and cross-campaign insight methods
  • Build and deploy automation and agentic solutions for Aetna Marketing: Develop agents and workflows using standard enterprise tools, frameworks and resources, and move approved use cases from pilot through scaled launch.
  • Enable governed, scalable agent orchestration: Establish reusable frameworks for access, knowledge and risk management, along with measurement and auditability, so every agent aligns with CVS AI governance policies, including bringing existing agents into compliance.
  • Expand and sustain the portfolio: Support enhancements and customizations needed to extend solutions to additional Marketing teams, and maintain the agent reports/dashboards, repositories, templates and playbooks that keep the program running.
  • Manages highly complex analytical projects from data exploration, model building, performance evaluation and testing
  • Applies in-depth knowledge of campaign end to end execution to consult and advise on additional efforts across the organization
  • Motivates team members and probes into technical details, and mentors others to do the same
  • Provides thought leadership and direction for analytic solutions, tools and studies, strategy and roadmap
  • Anticipates and solves strategic and high-risk business problems with broad impact on the business area by applying leading-edge theories and techniques to investigate problems, detect patterns and recommend solutions
  • Interacts with internal and external peers and management to share highly complex information/solutions related to areas of expertise and/or to gain acceptance of new or enhanced technology/ business solutions

Required Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years of progressively complex related experience, including measurement or applied AI/agentic solutions
  • Expertise in advanced analytics tools and languages to analyze large data sets from multiple data sources
  • Expertise in innovating, implementing novel machine learning, and generative AI techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational, management and leadership skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the health care industry, products, systems, business strategies and products
  • Experience measuring marketing or campaign effectiveness at scale
  • Demonstrates advanced in-depth specialization in mathematical analysis methods, machine learning, statistical analyses, causal inference, experimental design, and predictive modeling
  • Superior ability to communicate technical ideas and results to non-technical clients in written and verbal form, and to negotiate across the business and the external health care environment

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline.

Master’s degree or PhD preferred
