Principal Data Scientist (LATAM)

We are looking for a Principal Data Scientist to join a consumer product data science team that uses robust data foundations, metrics, experimentation, and advanced modeling to guide product growth. You will partner closely with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to identify opportunities, create data products, and turn complex analysis into high-impact decisions.

Requirements:

• Seven or more years of data science, machine learning, or related experience;
• Advanced SQL and Python skills;
• Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning, causal inference, and experimental design;
• Experience processing and analyzing large-scale data with Spark, Hadoop, or Hive;
• Strong product sense and communication with cross-functional partners;
• A BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

Responsibilities:

• Design and apply data science solutions for consumer product teams;
• Create data assets, self-service tools, and reporting dashboards;
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and strategic insights;
• Define product metrics and translate requirements into data science solutions;
• Develop models and methods for anomaly detection, prediction, and pattern recognition;
• Communicate recommendations that shape product direction.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in consumer technology;
• Experience with BigQuery;
• Experience with R, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
