Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer with strong expertise in the Avionics domain, particularly in Flight Display Systems & Applications (FDSA), Flight Management Systems (FMS), or Flight Control Systems (FCS).
In this role, you will contribute to the development, integration, verification, and certification of complex avionics systems. You will apply your strong systems-engineering knowledge to translate customer and system requirements into robust, safe, and compliant aerospace solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong aerospace engineering background, hands-on experience with avionics systems, and a passion for learning and applying systems engineering principles to increasingly complex aerospace products.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on next-generation avionics technologies and collaborate with experienced engineers, architects, customers, and cross-functional teams in a highly regulated aerospace environment.
What You Will Do
Avionics Systems Engineering
- Apply strong systems-engineering expertise across FDSA, FMS, FCS, or related avionics domains.
- Work on the development, integration, verification, and certification of complex avionics subsystems.
- Analyze system requirements and translate them into clear and traceable engineering requirements.
- Support system architecture, interface definition, integration, verification, and validation activities.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, systems, verification, and certification teams to deliver integrated avionics solutions.
Avionics Communication & Interfaces
- Work with avionics communication protocols such as ARINC 429 (A429) and AFDX.
- Understand avionics interfaces, data communication, and system-level integration.
- Exposure to I/O-related activities, including IOCF, will be an added advantage.
Requirements & Engineering Processes
- Develop, manage, review, and maintain system requirements using tools such as Jama and DOORS.
- Ensure requirements are complete, consistent, traceable, and aligned with system and customer needs.
- Support requirements verification, validation, traceability, and change management throughout the product lifecycle.
Testing, Verification & Certification
- Support testing and verification of avionics subsystems such as FDSA, FMS, and FCS.
- Analyze test results and support resolution of system-level issues.
- Apply aerospace engineering standards and processes to ensure compliance and product quality.
- Work with certification teams to support safety-critical avionics development and certification activities.
Systems Safety & Compliance
- Apply knowledge of ARP4754 and relevant aerospace systems-engineering processes.
- Support system development activities within a highly regulated and safety-critical environment.
- Participate in engineering reviews, assessments, audits, and continuous improvement activities.
- Experience with IPA/IQA audits will be an added advantage.
Collaboration & Continuous Learning
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and stakeholders to solve complex system-level challenges.
- Communicate technical issues, analysis, risks, and recommendations effectively.
- Demonstrate a strong interest in learning and expanding systems-engineering expertise.
- Contribute to engineering best practices, process improvements, and technical knowledge sharing.
What You Will Learn
- Gain deeper expertise across advanced avionics systems and architectures.
- Expand your knowledge of FDSA, FMS, FCS, and other safety-critical avionics systems.
- Develop stronger systems-engineering skills across the complete product lifecycle.
- Gain exposure to system requirements, architecture, integration, verification, and certification.
- Strengthen knowledge of avionics communication protocols such as A429 and AFDX.
- Build deeper expertise in ARP4754 and aerospace systems-engineering processes.
- Gain experience working with requirements and traceability tools such as Jama and DOORS.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams on complex aerospace programs.
- Develop expertise in engineering audits, assessments, process compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Continue building your career in next-generation avionics and aerospace systems engineering.
Qualifications You Must Have
