Principal IAM Engineer – SailPoint

About the Role:

We are looking for a Principal IAM Engineer with strong SailPoint expertise to design, implement, and operate enterprise Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) solutions across complex hybrid environments. The role focuses on identity lifecycle management, access governance, automation, security, and enterprise IAM integrations. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ and/or Identity Security Cloud and the ability to work at both engineering and architectural levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain SailPoint IdentityIQ and/or Identity Security Cloud solutions.
• Develop and optimize identity lifecycle management processes, including onboarding, provisioning, access changes, and offboarding.
• Design and implement access governance, role management, SoD controls, and access certification processes.
• Integrate SailPoint with enterprise directories, HR systems, ERP platforms, databases, cloud environments, and business applications.
• Automate IAM processes to improve operational efficiency, security, and compliance.
• Support IAM solutions across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments.
• Analyze IAM risks and recommend appropriate governance, security, and remediation strategies.
• Provide technical guidance on IAM architecture and design decisions to senior stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex IAM, provisioning, integration, and access governance issues.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of enterprise IAM architecture, standards, and security controls.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 6–10+ years of professional experience in IAM, Identity Governance, Security Engineering, or Security Architecture.
• Proven hands-on experience designing and implementing SailPoint IdentityIQ and/or SailPoint Identity Security Cloud.
• Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management, user provisioning and deprovisioning, access governance, role modeling, access certifications, Segregation of Duties (SoD), and IAM compliance.
• Hands-on experience integrating IAM/IGA platforms with Active Directory and other directories, HR systems, ERP systems, databases, enterprise applications, and cloud platforms.
• Experience supporting IAM programs across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, including Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Strong understanding of IAM security architecture and enterprise integration patterns.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to assess IAM risks, define governance strategies, and recommend remediation approaches.
