We're seeking a Principal People Partner, Benefits & Employee Relations to serve as a trusted advisor to leaders across AFS and drive critical people initiatives that support our growth. Reporting to the Head of People, this role leads strategic people partnering, talent and performance initiatives, employee relations, and benefits programs while collaborating closely with the broader Axonius People team. The ideal candidate excels at navigating complexity, building strong relationships, and translating business needs into scalable people solutions. Key Responsibilities: Strategic People Partnership & Organizational Effectiveness: Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders across AFS, providing guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, team effectiveness, talent strategy, organizational change, and business growth. Partner with leaders to align organizational capabilities, structure, and talent to support business priorities. Talent, Performance & Leadership Development: Lead the execution and evolution of talent and performance programs across AFS, leveraging established Axonius frameworks and partnering closely with Axonius stakeholders to drive alignment where possible and adaptation where necessary. Champion programs including performance management, individual development planning, career development, leadership development, and manager enablement, helping build a high-performing organization where employees can grow, develop, and thrive. Employee Relations & Workplace Strategy: Lead employee relations efforts across AFS, partnering closely with Legal and business leaders to navigate complex employee situations, investigations, performance management, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and organizational risk. Ensure fair, consistent, and business-minded outcomes while maintaining a positive employee experience and mitigating organizational risk. Benefits Strategy & Administration: Serve as the primary People Team lead for AFS benefits programs, partnering closely with our broker to manage renewals, open enrollment, employee communications, and ongoing program administration. Recommend improvements that support employees and the evolving needs of the business. People Programs, Policies & Continuous Improvement: Drive the development and evolution of People programs, policies, and practices that improve organizational effectiveness, employee experience, and manager capability. Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve scalability, and strengthen how employees experience the organization throughout their career journey. Minimum Qualifications: 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with significant experience in People Partnering, Employee Relations, Talent Management, Benefits, Organizational Development, or related disciplines. Demonstrated success partnering with senior leaders on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, employee relations, talent strategy, and organizational change. Experience leading one or more enterprise-wide people programs such as performance management, career development, leadership development, manager enablement, or employee engagement initiatives. Experience supporting or managing employee benefits programs, including annual renewals, open enrollment, vendor partnerships, and employee communications. Proven ability to influence stakeholders, navigate complex business and employee situations, and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a startup, high-growth, or rapidly scaling organization. Experience supporting government contractors or organizations with federal compliance requirements. Experience collaborating across multiple businesses, subsidiaries, or complex organizational structures. Professional HR certifications (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent).
