Principal Software Engineer (Backend) - Remote

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer with 7–8 years of experience to lead the design and development of scalable full-stack products, mentor engineers, and drive technical excellence using modern AI-powered development practices. Must be currently working in a product-based company. Experience in a B2B SaaS company is strongly preferred. Strong hands-on experience in both frontend and backend development. Proficiency in React.js, Node.js, and Python. Experience designing and building scalable web applications. Strong understanding of system design, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure. Hands-on experience using AI-powered developer tools such as Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar. Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams. Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations and collaborate across Product, Design, and Business teams. Strong ownership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Startup experience is preferred. Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack applications. Lead architecture, technical design, and engineering best practices. Develop modern frontend applications using React.js. Build scalable backend services using Node.js and Python. Drive adoption of AI-assisted development to improve engineering productivity. Mentor and guide engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and career development. Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Business teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
