Seeking a motivated and experienced individual to fill an opening as a Principal Specialist, Commodity Management and Sourcing.
What You Will Do
- Support contingent labor strategies using project management principles, CORE, and the gated review process. This includes defining scope, goals, schedules, SOW, and budgets for project implementation.
- Assist in the implementation of CLRS "Contingent Labor Request System".
- Manage the execution of commodity/account management and sourcing strategies, including supply chain strategy implementation and supplier selection processes that meet standards for TCO, price, quality, timing, and reliability.
- Define and share sourcing strategies, best practices, and acceptable service levels.
- Develop strategic plans for commodities or strategic suppliers and manage relationships with one or more strategic accounts across commodities.
- Support and lead supplier negotiations. This includes establishing a negotiation team, confirming objectives, planning strategy and execution, finalizing preparations, participating in negotiations, ensuring acceptable agreements, obtaining final approvals, and completing final agreements.
- Perform other duties as needed to support departmental goals and ensure operational efficiency.
- Willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time (domestic).

- Leveraging of RTX Strategic Sourcing Strategies within the Collins Aerospace family of businesses. Cost savings initiatives, Grow-Maintain-Reduce-Exit (GRME) initiative and Contingent Labor Sourcing Tool (Field Glass).
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
- Experience in strategic sourcing process.
- Experience in implementation, negotiations, collaboration with internal leadership and execution.
- Experience in contract managements and negotiations.
- Experience in supplier relationship development and management.
- Experience in spend data analytics.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
