What You Can Expect

A Test Automation Engineer is part of the Software Quality Team and is primarily focused on the automated software testing framework for Zimmer Biomet’s "Joints" product. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining Verification test suites for automated and manual execution. Test Automation Engineers support product development projects within their area of assigned responsibility by performing the role's Essential Functions. They may also assist with other project tasks that are within the scope of their expertise and training, when needed to support delivery goals. This position reports to the Software Quality Manager.

Work Location: Bangalore
Work Mode: Hybrid (3 Days in Office)

How You'll Create Impact

Essential Functions
• Participate in Example Mapping sessions to ensure that all relevant behaviors are identified, documented, and refined as early as possible in the release cycle.
• Develop, review, and run test scenarios in Gherkin format to ensure that actual device behavior matches the intended behavior.
• Develop, review, and maintain automated test steps in Python which implement the Gherkin scenarios, for execution in a GitLab CI/CD pipeline.
• Interface with stakeholders in various project roles, to accomplish assigned tasks in a manner that complies with applicable Design Controls.
• Create and run test protocols, using a combination of automated and manual scenarios, to support completion of the overall test plan.
• Document test results, and associated evidence as applicable, to support an objective comparison between the design implementation and the specification.

What Makes You Stand Out

Document test anomalies associated with the test results, to ensure that bugs are defined in a manner which supports root cause analysis and risk assessment, and can be tracked through resolution.

Your Background

Qualifications
• B.S. in Computer Science or a related field
• Significant experience with Python, Playwright, Selenium, and related software testing frameworks
• Exceptional functional requirements analysis and software test development skills
• Domain expertise in software verification within the constraints of a regulated quality system
• Superior writing skills in context of documenting Scenarios (Gherkin) and Bugs
• Linux expert who is proficient on the command-line
• Experience with the standards for DICOM and HL7 is a plus
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
