Print Production Manager

The purpose of this position is to facilitate jobs in the execution phase of the client’s packaging and production needs as it relates to prepress and deliverables.
As a key facilitator within the supply chain for packaging artwork issues, you will communicate with the client’s Brand Managers, agency, printers and internal team members to ensure optimal printability for packaging. As a key figure within the process, you will help maintain and improve the ways of working. Your primary role will be to coordinate packaging and CGI production via job instructions and schedules.
Essential Responsibilities, Accountabilities & Results
- Primary resource to client and agency stakeholders and the key point of contact to SGS.
- Effectively oversee timeline tracking for packaging artwork and CGI production for brands.
- Serve as primary liaison for internal stakeholders and production departments when issues or questions arise.
- Consult with stakeholders during the Artwork and CGI development, pre-press/image carrier execution to improve KPIs.
- Prioritization and tracking of priority/urgent projects when needed.
- Respond in a timely manner to client, agency and printers on task at hand.
- Establish a good and professional working relationship with clients, agency and printers.
- Liaison between brand, agency and SGS.
- Document all critical and pertinent information to ensure fit for use.
- Facilitate various production meetings to foster a positive creative impact on the business, CGI images and printed packaging.
- Interface with Workflow enterprise tools.
- Manages Print Quality Color Standards process.
Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements
- At least 2-year degree or equivalent experience in the print and graphic arts industry
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Project Manager in the print and graphic arts industry and have working experience directly with clients and printers
- Experience in evaluating color proofs, images and packaging substrate
- Good communication skills to serve as an effective liaison between production and customers
- Full comprehension in reading work instructions and business memos
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe software applications
- Proofreading skills required
- Ability to work independently after initial training

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $65,306 USD - $75,306 USD annually. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
