What You'll Do
- Serve as the Privacy by Design subject matter expert, embedding privacy into products and processes from the beginning.
- Engage proactively with business collaborators, product teams, and workgroups to ensure early integration of privacy considerations.
- Participate in product discussions and implementation efforts to provide guidance on projects involving personal data.
- Evaluate products and upcoming implementations to detect privacy risks and recommend technical and procedural solutions.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance to business, product, marketing, data, and engineering teams on implementing privacy-compliant capabilities.
- Ask the right discovery questions to fully understand business processes and technical implementations.
- Raise awareness when implementations may not meet regulatory requirements, clearly explaining recomended changes.
- Provide concrete technical examples and recommended approaches for implementing privacy requirements.
- Integrate technology with privacy processes, collaborating closely with the Privacy Manager to bring workflows to life.
- Coordinate TrustArc, including configuration, optimization, and ongoing management of the platform.
- Manage OneTrust privacy notices, ensuring accurate publication across digital properties.
- Support cookie compliance operations and review tag manager integrations to ensure accurate configuration with TrustArc.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in privacy operations, governance, technical privacy, Privacy by Build, privacy engineering, or consulting roles.
- Strong technical background with the ability to engage credibly with engineering, product, data, architecture, and security teams.
- Practical knowledge of data architecture, data flows, system integrations, and common data terminology.
- Understanding of APIs, SDKs, scripts, tags, pixels, plugins, and their use in data collection and processing.
- Familiarity with client-side and server-side concepts and their impact on privacy compliance.
- Practical knowledge of security protocols, including encryption, access controls, authentication, and data protection methods.
- Comfort reading and interpreting architecture diagrams, data flow maps, and technical documentation.
- Deep understanding of privacy regulations such as GDPR, CPRA, HIPAA, and COPPA.
- Hands-on experience with privacy platforms like TrustArc and OneTrust.
- Established track record in identifying privacy risks and delivering actionable advice to fulfill privacy obligations.
