Note: Manager strongly prefers candidates who are qualified lawyers with experience in U.S. law, as this background would be highly valuable for the role.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Privacy & Technology Compliance Analyst to support a global Privacy & Technology Compliance Program for a leading multinational organization.

This is a highly cross-functional role for someone who understands how to translate privacy regulations, technology risks, and data governance requirements into practical business solutions.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in privacy compliance, DPIAs/PIAs, Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), data mapping, vendor privacy assessments, data governance, and technology risk.

A qualified lawyer with U.S. legal/privacy experience is strongly preferred, although candidates with strong hands-on privacy and technology compliance experience will also be considered.

What You'll Do

• Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for applications, systems, digital platforms, marketing programs, advertising initiatives, vendors, and technology services.
• Develop and maintain Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), data maps, data inventories, data governance documentation, and related privacy records.
• Assess privacy and technology compliance risks associated with AI/Generative AI, SaaS, cloud, SASE, open-source technologies, digital platforms, and other emerging technologies.
• Provide practical, business-oriented privacy and compliance guidance to stakeholders across the organization.
• Partner closely with Legal, IT/DTS, Information Security, Digital, Marketing, Procurement, and business teams to identify risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Review and support documentation related to Service Providers, Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Controller/Processor relationships, privacy terms, and technology compliance requirements.
• Research and interpret U.S. and global privacy and technology regulations, regulatory guidance, enforcement actions, and emerging requirements.
• Translate regulatory requirements into clear business processes, operational requirements, controls, and technology requirements.
• Support vendor and third-party privacy assessments and technology compliance reviews.
• Identify recurring privacy/compliance issues and develop playbooks, guidelines, training, and standardized processes to reduce repetitive requests.
• Maintain privacy policies, standards, procedures, notices, guidelines, and compliance processes.
• Develop and maintain privacy and technology compliance playbooks for business and technology teams.
• Analyze compliance trends and recurring risks and prepare management reports, dashboards, and presentations.
• Support digital and web teams with privacy compliance requirements.
• Develop and deliver privacy and technology compliance training for employees and contractors.
• Support the tracking and fulfillment of Subject Access Requests (SARs/DSARs) and other privacy-related requests, as needed.
• Assist Privacy Counsel and the Global Data Privacy Officer with contract audits and reviews involving privacy, security, technology compliance, and AI requirements.

What We're Looking For

Required

• 3+ years of professional experience in privacy compliance, technology compliance, data governance, GRC, information security governance, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with DPIAs/PIAs.
• Experience with RoPA, data mapping, data inventories, and data governance documentation.
• Working knowledge of U.S. and global privacy regulations and concepts.
• Experience assessing privacy, technology, business-impact, and/or compliance risks.
• Experience working with vendors/service providers and privacy-related contractual requirements.
• Strong ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business and technology requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills with the ability to communicate complex legal/privacy concepts in clear, non-technical language.
• Ability to work effectively across Legal, IT/DTS, Information Security, Digital, Marketing, Procurement, and business teams.
• Ability to work significant portions of the U.S. Central Time workday.

Strongly Preferred

• U.S.-qualified attorney / JD or significant professional experience working with U.S. privacy law.
• Experience with OneTrust or a comparable privacy/GRC platform.
• CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, or another recognized privacy certification.
• Experience reviewing DPAs, Controller/Processor agreements, vendor contracts, and privacy/security contractual terms.
• Experience with AI/Generative AI privacy, governance, risk, or compliance.
• Experience with SaaS, cloud, SASE, cybersecurity, digital marketing, e-commerce, or other technology environments.
• Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Experience developing compliance playbooks, policies, procedures, training, dashboards, or management reporting.
• Paralegal or legal operations experience involving contractual review and matter management.
• Experience with change management or implementation of privacy/compliance programs.
