Contingent Workforce Operations & Process Improvement Lead

PeopleCaddie | Full-Time Contract | Remote — United States

Duration: Immediate start through February 2027

Compensation: Up to $75/hour C2C or up to $65/hour W2, depending on experience

Build better processes across the contingent workforce lifecycle.

PeopleCaddie is seeking an experienced operations professional for a contract engagement with a large professional services firm. This role brings together contingent workforce expertise and practical process improvement: understanding how work moves across teams, identifying what slows it down, and implementing changes that make service delivery more consistent and effective.

You will help improve the processes supporting contingent labor, onboarding, workforce administration, and related HR and talent operations. The work calls for someone who can move from assessing a workflow to documenting a better approach, aligning stakeholders, and helping teams put it into practice.

Direct contingent workforce experience is essential. You should bring the industry knowledge needed to contribute immediately. This is an operations and process improvement position, not a recruiting role.

What You’ll Do

  • Improve the worker lifecycle. Evaluate processes spanning onboarding, engagement administration, extensions, conversions, and offboarding. Address friction for workers, hiring managers, and internal service teams.
  • Turn process gaps into practical changes. Map current workflows, identify bottlenecks and unnecessary handoffs, and design repeatable processes with clear responsibilities and escalation paths.
  • Strengthen the operating framework. Develop standard operating procedures, process maps, training resources, and knowledge articles that teams can use in their daily work.
  • Connect teams and systems. Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, Procurement, Finance, IT, Legal, Security, and business stakeholders to improve workflows across the VMS, HRIS, ticketing, and onboarding environment.
  • Make performance measurable. Establish service standards, controls, KPIs, and reporting that help teams understand turnaround times, service quality, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Put improvements into practice. Support rollout, stakeholder communication, training, and adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Reduce avoidable manual work. Recommend automation and self-service opportunities, applying Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement approaches where useful.

What You’ll Bring

  • Seven or more years of relevant experience in contingent workforce management, workforce operations, shared services, HR operations, procurement operations, or service delivery.
  • Direct experience supporting contingent labor programs, with a working understanding of the processes and cross-functional dependencies involved in managing the worker lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated success improving operational processes, including translating recommendations into implemented changes.
  • Strong capabilities in workflow design, process documentation, operational governance, and project management.
  • Experience using operational data, KPIs, dashboards, or reporting to identify problems and evaluate results.
  • The ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, resolve process issues, and keep initiatives moving.
  • Clear communication skills and experience helping teams adopt new ways of working.
  • A hands-on approach and the ability to contribute quickly in an established contingent workforce environment.

Experience That Stands Out

  • SAP Fieldglass experience is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience with a Big Four or other large professional services firm.
  • Experience improving shared services or contingent workforce program operations, particularly in mergers and integrations.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, Oracle HCM, or comparable HR and service management platforms.
  • Experience with workflow automation, business process redesign, or continuous improvement programs.

Engagement Details

This is a full-time, remote contract opportunity open to candidates throughout the United States. The engagement is expected to begin immediately and continue through February 2027. An extension may be possible but is not guaranteed.

Pay is up to $75/hour C2C or up to $65/hour W2, depending on experience. W2 contractors receive access to benefits and PTO in accordance with applicable state and local employment laws.
