Procurement Agent (Procurement Agent-General) Company: Boeing Defence United Kingdom Limited Job Summary: The Procurement Agent (Level 3) is responsible for managing the procurement process and sub contract management for complex and high-value contracts. This role involves strategic sourcing, supplier management, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand procurement needs and specifications. Manage long term Major Sub Contracts, with complex scope of work and key stakeholder relationships. Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, Problem solve issues which could significantly impact business risk and success. Ensuring leadership alignment in supplier strategy management of problem solving. Analyze procurement data and market trends to inform decision-making. Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior procurement staff. Basic required qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Proficiency in procurement software and tools. Knowledge of contract law and procurement regulations. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. Strong presentation skills. C ertification in procurement (e.g., CPSM, CIPS). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Travelling :S uccessful candidate will need to travel to supplier site, in Farnborough, Hampshire. Expected to be an average of minimum of 1 day a week BPSS Preferred qualifications/Nice to have: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Experience in a specific industry relevant to the organization (e.g., aerospace, manufacturing).
