Purpose of the Role

The Procurement Coordinator supports the efficient and compliant acquisition of row materials required for operations. The role coordinate supplier communications, and ensures timely processing of purchase orders in alignment with the firm needs and forecast. It exists to maintain supply continuity, optimize costs, and ensure accurate procurement documentation while supporting operational and strategic objectives.

Role & Responsibilities

• The Procurement Coordinator will manage a portfolio of suppliers, and will be responsible for carrying out daily follow-up activities to ensure proper and timely supply.
• Expedite orders and reschedule raw materials to meet ever-changing demands.
• Advise Planning and Production daily of any missing raw materials and provide the best delivery dates confirmed by suppliers.
• Will work with MRP dynamic orders and purchase orders, including managing rescheduling messages and reorder levels.
• Continually review and improve suppliers’ delivery performance and identifying ways to improve it. In case of late deliveries or any issue, chase suppliers & raise complaints where necessary and work closely with Purchasing to improve poor performers.
• Continually review ways and means to improve material inventory management and balance customer requirements and forecasts to ensure the correct level of inventory.
• Ensure and work closely with Sales, R&D and Suppliers on new product launches to ensure all raw materials are available for launch whilst minimizing raw material exposure on de-lists.
• Work closely with Purchasing and R&D when sourcing alternative raw materials in order to ensure customer delivery dates are met and/or to determine the appropriate minimum order quantity and the most favorable lead time.
• To work in depth on slow-moving stock and explore alternative ways to reduce and minimize exposure.
• Play a key role in supporting the initiatives and KPI targets set in Supply Chain, in particular for the Procurement Coordinator these are the Supplier OTIF, the days of coverage of raw materials, raw material dumps, and the Customer OTIF.

Job Requirements

• Undergraduate studies in Supply Chain Management or Inventory Management.
• Minimum of 5 years experience working in a Procurement role with a proven track record of delivering results.
• Knowledge of supply chain fundamentals including forecasting, inventory control, logistics coordination, and supplier performance management.
• Ability to track KPIs such as cost savings, lead times, supplier performance, and procurement cycle times.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, collaborate, and solve problems with internal and external stakeholders.
• Fluent in English (C1) and Spanish.

Compensation

The starting base salary is 33.800 EUR fix gross per year + Benefits.
