Procurement Manager, Comparator Sourcing

Location: Remote, Germany.

Contract Type: Permanent, full time.

We’re looking for a commercially minded Procurement Manager to join a growing pharmaceutical sourcing team, playing a key role in securing comparator medicines and supporting the delivery of global clinical trial supply projects.

The role

As Procurement Manager, you’ll work closely with sourcing, account management, and operational teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of pharmaceutical products. You’ll develop strong relationships with wholesalers and manufacturers, identify new sourcing opportunities, and help drive procurement strategies that improve service delivery and commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with global pharmaceutical suppliers, wholesalers, and manufacturers.
• Source comparator medicines and pharmaceutical products for clinical trial supply projects.
• Negotiate pricing, discounts, and commercial agreements with suppliers.
• Manage the end-to-end ordering process, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and specifications are met.
• Identify supply chain risks and proactively develop solutions to minimise disruption.
• Expand and optimise the global supplier network through market analysis and supplier identification.
• Monitor procurement performance and sourcing KPIs.
• Collaborate closely with account management teams to support client proposals, quotations, and ongoing project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with GDP, regulatory requirements, and internal quality processes.

What we’re looking for

• Experience in pharmaceutical procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or vendor management.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Confidence working with internal and external stakeholders across international markets.
