Hiring: Procurement OfficerLocation: Philippines (Metro Manila / BGC or Legazpi)
Work Setup: Hybrid (On-site or Remote with structured reporting)
About the RoleYou will own the procurement cycle for construction materials—from RFQ issuance to supplier award and delivery coordination.
This is not a clerical sourcing role. You are expected to make decisions that directly impact project cost, timelines, and execution risk.
You will work closely with Sales, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure every quotation is:
- Cost-optimized (true landed cost, not just unit price)
- Spec-compliant (architect/engineer-aligned)
- Delivery-feasible (realistic lead times, no overcommitment)
Key Responsibilities1. Sourcing & Bid Management
- Issue RFQs and manage competitive bidding across vetted suppliers
- Ensure apples-to-apples comparisons (specs, scope, inclusions)
- Analyze and recommend winning suppliers based on total landed cost
2. Supplier Management
- Build and maintain a reliable supplier network
- Validate stock, specs, lead times, and commitments before submission
- Enforce documentation: quotations, warranties, and terms must be complete
3. Negotiation & Commercial Structuring
- Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and delivery conditions
- Align supplier commitments with project timelines and client expectations
- Prevent risk from vague or informal agreements
4. Quotation Support (Sales Enablement)
- Deliver fast, accurate, and decision-ready quotations
- Provide 2–3 structured options (Budget / Recommended / Premium)
- Clearly explain trade-offs: cost vs spec vs lead time
5. Delivery & Execution Alignment
- Coordinate with logistics and suppliers for schedule adherence
- Anticipate delays and proactively adjust plans
- Ensure commitments match actual execution
6. Value Engineering & Sustainability
- Recommend alternatives (eco / conventional / hybrid) when appropriate
- Maintain spec integrity—no substitutions without clear justification
What We’re Looking For- Proven experience in construction procurement or materials sourcing
- Strong background in supplier negotiation and RFQ management
- Experience handling MEPF, architectural, or structural materials is preferred
- Ability to analyze pricing, specs, and logistics as one system
- Comfortable with spreadsheets, ERP/CRM tools, and documentation discipline
- High accountability—follows through on commitments and timelines
- Clear communicator—can explain procurement decisions to non-procurement stakeholders
Advantage:
- Experience in selling or quoting construction materials
- Existing supplier network
