Procurement Project Specialist – (€280/Daily)
- Long Term Day Rate Contract with high likelihood of extension
- Hybrid working – 2-days on-site
- Join a major €30M infrastructure project connecting Ireland like never before
- Join at mobilisation and shape the supply chain from day one
The next chapter of Ireland’s connectivity is being built now.
A major new project is underway to connect some of Ireland’s biggest cities and regions through a resilient national fibre network — creating the infrastructure to support the country’s growing demand for connectivity.
Making that happen is no small undertaking. It’s a complex, multi-party infrastructure build bringing together engineering, third-party infrastructure, civils, fibre deployment and specialist suppliers.
And this is where you come in.
Joining at mobilisation, you’ll help build the supply chain that makes the project possible — finding the right suppliers, running tenders, negotiating the right deals and putting the commercial arrangements in place to keep the project moving.
Your decisions will have a direct impact on what gets delivered, who delivers it and how successfully the project moves from plan to reality. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Engineering and Commercial teams, with the opportunity to shape procurement from the ground up rather than inherit an established process.
Why You’ll Love This Role
- Work on a National Project: Help build a fibre network connecting some of Ireland’s biggest cities and regions.
- Shape It from the Start: Join during mobilisation and build the procurement approach from the ground up.
- Work Across the Project: Source across multiple workstreams, from infrastructure and civils to fibre deployment and specialist suppliers.
- Own Key Supplier Decisions: Help select the suppliers and agree the commercial terms that will support delivery.
- Work Closely with Delivery Teams: Partner directly with Project Managers, Engineering and Commercial teams to make sure procurement keeps pace with the project.
What You’ll Do
- Set the Plan: Identify what needs to be sourced and when.
- Run Tenders: Manage RFQs and RFPs from scope through to supplier selection.
- Secure the Deal: Benchmark prices, negotiate terms and manage commercial risk.
- Build the Supply Base: Find and develop the suppliers and subcontractors needed for delivery.
- Keep Procurement Moving: Work with project teams to manage requirements, priorities and supplier dependencies.
- Set Up Delivery: Put the right suppliers and agreements in place for the next stage of the project.
What You’ll Have
- Procurement Experience: Strong experience at Procurement Specialist, Senior Procurement Specialist, Procurement Manager or similar level. Your current or most recent role should be procurement-focused.
- Tendering & Negotiation: Experience managing sourcing projects from initial requirement through tender, negotiation and award.
- Project & Stakeholder Experience: Comfortable working with suppliers, project teams and senior stakeholders in a fast-moving project environment.
- Relevant Sector Experience: Infrastructure, utilities, construction, engineering or telecommunications would be beneficial. CIPS would be an advantage, but strong procurement experience is the priority.
