Procurement Project Specialist – (€280/Daily)
- Long Term Day Rate Contract with high likelihood of extension
- Hybrid working – 2-days on-site
- Join a major €30M infrastructure project with a national footprint
- Own sourcing across infrastructure, civils, fibre and specialist services
This is an opportunity to shape the procurement behind a major piece of Irish infrastructure.
A new national fibre network is being developed to connect some of Ireland’s biggest cities and regions. The project will require everything from infrastructure and civils to fibre deployment and specialist services — all sourced, contracted and ready at the right time.
That puts procurement at the centre of the project.
You’ll work directly with Project Managers, Engineering and Commercial teams to understand what is needed, take requirements to market, run tenders and negotiate the agreements that support delivery.
You’ll take each requirement from the initial brief through market engagement, tender, negotiation and contract award.
And you’ll see where those decisions lead. The suppliers you bring on board and the contracts you put in place will help turn a major national fibre network from a plan into infrastructure that connects cities, regions, businesses and communities across Ireland.
This is an opportunity to do procurement that has a visible end result — helping build infrastructure that will be used long after the project is complete.
Why You’ll Love This Role
- Own Sourcing Projects: Take requirements from initial brief through to contract award.
- Negotiate Commercial Terms: Benchmark pricing and secure agreements that support the project.
- Influence Supplier Selection: Assess the market, compare options and help decide who the project works with.
- Work Across Multiple Categories: Source infrastructure, civils, fibre deployment and specialist services.
- Support a National Build: See your procurement decisions translate into suppliers delivering a major piece of Irish infrastructure.
What You’ll Do
- Define Requirements: Work with project teams to establish what needs to be sourced.
- Run Tenders: Identify suppliers and manage RFQs and RFPs.
- Evaluate Bids: Assess capability, pricing and commercial proposals.
- Negotiate Terms: Lead negotiations and agree commercial arrangements.
- Award Contracts: Support supplier selection and contract award.
- Manage Procurement Timelines: Track upcoming requirements and make sure sourcing stays on schedule.
What You’ll Have
- Procurement Experience: Strong experience at Procurement Specialist, Senior Procurement Specialist, Procurement Manager or similar level. Your current or most recent role should be procurement-focused.
- Tendering & Negotiation: Experience taking requirements through tender, evaluation, negotiation and award.
- Commercial Judgement: Confident assessing suppliers, pricing and commercial terms.
- Project Experience: Comfortable working with project teams and senior stakeholders. Infrastructure, utilities, construction, engineering or telecommunications experience would be beneficial. CIPS would be an advantage, but strong procurement experience is the priority.
