Procurement Project Specialist – (€280/Daily)

  • Long Term Day Rate Contract with high likelihood of extension
  • Hybrid working – 2-days on-site
  • Join a major €30M national fibre infrastructure project
  • Build sourcing expertise across multiple categories

The right supplier isn’t always on the usual shortlist. You’ll research the market, uncover alternatives and assess who can meet the brief on the right commercial terms.

On a €30M national fibre programme connecting Dublin, Galway, Limerick, Cork, Wexford and New Ross, you’ll source across third-party duct access, civils, fibre deployment and specialist services — each bringing different suppliers, capabilities and commercial considerations.

Working with Project, Engineering and Commercial teams, you’ll take sourcing from market research through tendering, evaluation, negotiation and award. You’ll broaden your category experience, strengthen your supplier-evaluation skills and build a track record across the full sourcing cycle — experience you can take into future procurement or category management roles.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Broaden experience beyond a single procurement category
  • Build knowledge of specialist supplier markets
  • Work with Project, Engineering and Commercial leads
  • Strengthen sourcing judgement on live requirements
  • Build a track record in infrastructure procurement

What You’ll Do

  • Research supplier markets for upcoming packages
  • Assess supplier capability against project requirements
  • Define scopes and issue competitive RFQs and RFPs
  • Compare bids, pricing, exclusions and terms
  • Negotiate commercial terms with preferred suppliers
  • Recommend suppliers for approval and contract award

What You’ll Have

  • Current or recent role focused on procurement
  • Proven tendering experience through evaluation and award
  • Confidence engaging suppliers and negotiating commercial terms
  • Comfortable working with project stakeholders
  • Infrastructure, construction, utilities or telecoms experience beneficial
