Job Description Position: Procurement Specialist – IT (Public Sector ) Requisition ID: GOAPRDJP00000846 Client: Government of Alberta Department: Justice – Court Technology Services (CTS) Location: Edmonton, Alberta (Remote – must work from within Alberta) Duration: 12 Months + Extension (up to 24 months) Project Overview: CTS, in collaboration with Technology & Innovation Procurement, requires a senior-level procurement specialist to lead competitive IT procurements, draft and manage contracts, ensure trade agreement compliance, and provide advisory support to project teams and executives. Key Responsibilities: Lead complex competitive procurements (RFP, RFQ, NRFP) Draft, negotiate, and manage IT contracts Ensure compliance with government trade agreements (CFTA, NWPTA, etc.) Advise project managers, IT leadership, and executive stakeholders Track procurement progress, milestones, and resolve issues Support enterprise IT and digital transformation initiatives Requirements Mandatory Skills & Experience: Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or related field SCMP, CPPB, CPPO, CSPM, or equivalent procurement designation 8+ years public sector procurement experience 5+ years complex competitive procurement experience 8+ years contract drafting and management experience 8+ years stakeholder advisory experience 7+ years government trade agreement knowledge 7+ years enterprise IT environment experience Upstaff is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race or ethnicity, religion, sex, national origin, age, veteran disability or genetic information or any other reason prohibited by law in employment.
