Product Consultant | Inner Child Care App

We’re looking for an experienced Product Discovery Consultant to help us turn a promising concept and many ideas into a focused, valuable product.

About Inner Child

Inner Child is an early-stage startup developing a gamified mental wellbeing app for adults who did not receive enough love, care, or emotional support during childhood. We want to help users strengthen self-love, self-worth, and their relationship with themselves through inner-child and reparenting practices.

Where we need help

We’ve got an MVP and our first users. We also have knowledge, research, content, and feature ideas, but we currently think too much in terms of features rather than about why someone would use our app, what motivates them, and what benefits the app provides.

We need help:

• developing a clear Value Proposition Canvas and later using it to choose and prioritize features;
• understanding what motivates people to download and continue using the app;
• deciding what problem and desired outcome we should focus on.

You will work directly with the founders to structure our existing knowledge, challenge our assumptions, define and validate the initial user persona, understand user motivations and Jobs to Be Done, shape the value proposition, and turn it into a focused product direction.

Requirements

• English at C1 level or higher;
• at least 7 years of experience in product management or product discovery;
• proven experience with consumer mobile apps;
• experience with wellbeing apps is a plus;
• experience with zero-to-one consumer product discovery;
• experience with user research, personas, JTBD, and value proposition development;
• experience with gamification is a plus;
• experience with mental health or self-development products is a plus.

Commitment and workflow

This is a remote, part-time consulting role requiring approximately 3-4 hours per week. The work will mainly include regular calls or workshops with the founders, followed by independent analysis, documentation, and recommendations.

Our budget is limited at this early stage, so this opportunity is best suited to someone who already has a primary role or consulting practice and wants a small, meaningful side project.
