Product Data Operations Analyst

Reporting to: Bojan Gavric

Department: Product Build

Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid after 90 days)

Position Summary

Grand Circle Corporation is the leader in international travel, adventure and discovery for Americans aged 50+. Headquartered in Boston MA, and with more than 35 offices globally, more than two million Americans have traveled with our award-winning travel brands: Grand Circle Cruise Line, Overseas Adventure Travel and Grand Circle Travel.

We’re looking for a Product Data Operations Analyst to build, activate, maintain, and audit travel product data in GERT and related systems. This role protects the accuracy and integrity of product, pricing, inventory, linkage, schedule, and reservation-facing information so products can be sold, serviced, managed, and audited without preventable barriers. The analyst executes time-sensitive product changes, investigates data and system issues, validates results against approved sources, documents evidence, and works across Product Management, WW Finance, Revenue Management, Inventory, Operations, Web, Sales, Customer Service, and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute product changes: Complete assigned PCFs, reprices, rebuilds, calendar actions, corrections, and operational updates accurately and by the required deadline.
  • Build and activate products: Create and maintain product hierarchy, product master data, program schedules, dates, extensions, hotels, ships, cabins, linkage, pricing, allotments, contracts, and related setup required for open-to-sales readiness.
  • Maintain pricing: Process approved updates to base, air, single, pre/post, ship upgrade, optional, promotional, discount, and supplemental pricing; apply price protection and reservation maintenance when required.
  • Protect data quality: Validate all work against approved flowcharts, CMS and Air Pricing grids, contracts, allotment documents, PCFs, reprice templates, and other authorized sources.
  • Audit results: Perform product, pricing, linkage, inventory, gateway, allotment, schedule, reservation, upload-log, and before/after audits; complete secondary review for high-risk changes.
  • Troubleshoot issues: Investigate inaccurate or incomplete data, booking barriers, upload failures, system limitations, and cross-system mismatches; identify root causes and coordinate resolution.
  • Use data tools: Work with Excel, queries, uploads, macros, SQL-supported processes, MCTS, Python and internal audit tools to complete bulk updates, identify exceptions, and validate outputs.
  • Track and document work: Maintain clear status, ownership, due dates, blockers, completion dates, evidence, and follow-up actions in the appropriate trackers and communication channels.
  • Communicate and escalate: Follow up on missing approvals or source information, raise risks early, provide clear completion updates, and ensure unresolved dependencies have documented owners.
  • Improve processes: Help test new tools, update SOPs, identify recurring errors and manual work, and recommend training, automation, or control improvements.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, complete work.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and follow work through to closure.
  • Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to compare source documents with system results.
  • Strong typing, data-entry, and general computer skills; experience working with databases or structured business systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including lookups, filters, formulas, and data validation.
  • Clear written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to follow detailed written procedures.
  • Sound independent judgment, appropriate escalation, and the ability to maintain effective working relationships across departments.
  • Ability to learn complex product structures, pricing rules, system dependencies, and audit requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with GERT, reservation, inventory, or master-data system.
  • Experience with GCT products, pricing, inventory, reservations, product operations, finance operations, or data quality.
  • Excel experience, including queries, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros, Python or structured templates.
  • SQL, scripting, programming, upload, or automation experience.
  • Experience testing system changes or tools and documenting defects, expected results, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience working from SOPs, maintaining audit evidence, and operating in a deadline-driven environment.

Key Competencies

  • Quality: Checks work carefully, uses approved sources, and treats audit evidence as part of completion.
  • Speed: Prioritizes effectively and completes time-sensitive work without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Teamwork: Shares information, supports peers, and coordinates smoothly across functions.
  • Open & Courageous Communication: Raises risks, asks clarifying questions, and communicates ownership and status directly.
  • Emotional Maturity: Remains professional, fact-based, and solution-focused during high-volume or changing work.
  • Thriving in Change: Adapts to new products, processes, systems, tools, and priorities.
  • Risk Taking: Tests better ways of working and contributes practical ideas for automation and process improvement.

Work Environment and Role Scope

This is a detail-intensive, deadline-driven role that combines transaction execution, analysis, quality control, documentation, and cross-functional coordination. Work volume may increase during build seasons, product launches, reprices, and major operational changes. The analyst is expected to protect customer and business outcomes by preventing inaccurate pricing, booking barriers, incomplete setup, reservation impact, and audit gaps.
