About Flaps&Tabs

Flaps&Tabs is an early-stage design and R&D initiative focused on sustainable packaging, product design, materials, prototyping, and collaboration between academic and professional communities.

We are looking for a Product Design Intern based in Kyiv to collaborate with our international team on design competitions and contribute to the development of the startup. This is a remote, project-based internship designed for a student, recent graduate, or early-career designer who wants to strengthen a professional portfolio through real creative challenges.

What you will do

• Research international design competitions, briefs, eligibility requirements, and deadlines.

• Develop concepts for product, packaging, and sustainable design projects.

• Create sketches, mood boards, CAD/3D models, prototypes, renderings, and presentation boards.

• Help prepare technical documentation and final competition submissions.

• Participate in online design reviews and collaborate with an international multidisciplinary team.

• Contribute ideas and practical support to the growth of Flaps&Tabs.

Requirements

• Ukrainian language proficiency is mandatory because team coordination and local collaboration will take place in Ukrainian. Applicants who cannot work in Ukrainian will not proceed in the selection process.

• Working knowledge of English.

• Current studies or recent qualification in product design, industrial design, packaging design, architecture, graphic design, engineering, or a related field.

• Familiarity with one or more design tools such as Rhino, Blender, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or similar software.

• A portfolio or examples of academic, personal, or professional design work.

• Reliability, respect for deadlines, willingness to receive feedback, and interest in collaborative work.

• Residence in Kyiv or the ability to work remotely from Kyiv, Ukraine.
