We are seeking a talented Product Designer to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for designing and improving user interfaces that fulfil our clients’ and their users’ needs, ensuring a desirable, brand-aligned user experience. Your primary focus will be on identifying user needs, leading user interviews, conducting desktop research, concepting solution options (in wireframes, mockups and prototypes), and collaborating closely with your project team product manager and developers to design feasible, usable, software solutions.

What We Need You To Do

  • Partner with clients, stakeholders, product managers, and technical leads to define design approach, shape UX requirements, design solution paths, and implement usable software solutions.
  • Ability to showcase and articulate design decisions to clients and stakeholders, framing them in terms of business value and user outcomes.
  • Own the UX/UI design perspective within cross-functional teams, collaborating closely with clients, product managers and developers to ensure user-centered, high-impact solutions from concept to launch.
  • Produce key deliverables, including empathy maps, user roles/personas, user flows, wireframes, style tiles, mockups, prototypes, and documentation, ensuring they reflect user needs, support product goals, and adhere to design best practices appropriately.
  • Create, utilize, and extend visual patterns, design systems and assets for mobile and web applications that are easy to use and appropriately documented.
  • Lead and facilitate user research in collaboration with product management.
  • Contribute to testing of implemented features to ensure designs meet user needs and translate effectively into the built experience
  • Support and contribute to the evolution of our design systems and processes, helping ensure consistency, scalability, and continuous improvement across projects.
  • Provide feedback to other designers and cross-functional teammates; foster a collaborative culture within the team.

Skills We Expect You To Bring

  • 2+ years of proven work experience as a Product Designer or similar role, showcasing a thoughtful portfolio of mobile and web projects.
  • Formal training in UX Design or a related discipline or demonstrated equivalent experience.
  • The ability to apply design thinking to understand user problems, explore user-centered designs, and implement technologically feasible solutions in alignment with business goals.
  • Strength in efficiently designing responsive layouts and components, with consideration of accessibility standards (eg. WCAG 2.2), best practices for interface and experience designs, and constraints within a project.
  • The ability to create, maintain, and follow design languages and systems.
  • Experience working within cross-functional agile teams.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to foster alignment, give and receive constructive feedback, and hold cross-functional teammates accountable to shared goals and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, with clear articulation of design decisions and rationale appropriate to the audience.
  • Advanced proficiency in design tools such as Figma (required), Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, or Claude Design
  • Knowledge and utilization of AI to supplement processes while maintaining a critical eye on the outputs.

What else can you expect at Punchcard?

  • Engaging and challenging projects.
  • Remote-first work, with the opportunity to collaborate and connect in person on select occasions of value. Employee group benefits (including disability and life insurance, dental, and extended health).
  • A highly collaborative work environment with a group of people who love what they do.
  • Challenging projects while working with the most interesting technologies.
  • Opportunities for advancement and professional development.

  • An opportunity to work with and learn from passionate and highly skilled team members who work together to ensure everyone succeeds.
  • An opportunity to join an inclusive design team of 4, where psychological safety, compassion, teamwork, and recognition are prioritized.

We value versatility and encourage candidates with a broad range of skills to apply, so don’t worry if you don’t think you’re a perfect fit for the role – we’re still interested in hearing from you.
