Product Engineer (Mid), Java / Kotlin

MOLO17 builds Gluesync: real-time CDC and hybrid data integration across RDBMS, NoSQL, data lakes, and event streaming. We are a product company, not a consultancy. Offices in Cupertino, CA and an R&D center in Pordenone, Italy. The product team writes Gluesync in Kotlin. Java is a fine starting point. We are hiring a mid product engineer for the CET night shift. You can live anywhere. Your working hours have to cover 22:00-06:00 Central European Time. If nights are not for you, this role is not. What you will do: Ship features on Gluesync with the product team Own small-to-medium work end to end: design, code, tests, review Work with SQL and NoSQL sources (Oracle, SQL Server, IBM i / DB2, MongoDB, Kafka, and similar) Keep quality high: automated tests, no silent regressions Take part in customer technical support on the CET night shift: troubleshoot production issues, help customers through Gluesync problems, and feed what you learn back into the product. This is part of the job, not a rare exception. Must have: At least 4 years building backend services in Java At least 1-2 years of Kotlin in production (the product is Kotlin; Java gets you in the door, Kotlin is how you ship) REST APIs, SQL, and at least one NoSQL store You write tests and use Git like a teammate You can reliably work CET nights (22:00-06:00) from wherever you are Nice to have: Ktor, Koin, Gradle Docker / Kubernetes Kafka or other event streaming Prior CDC or database replication What you get: Remote from any country MacBook Pro Performance bonus Partner training (AWS, MongoDB, and similar) Compensation from 40k€ Missing a piece of the stack is fine if you learn fast.
