Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will lead the Product Management function for the Medium Voltage Cable Accessories portfolio across EMEA & Asia. You will define and execute product line strategies, translate market needs into competitive offerings, and drive portfolio growth, profitability, and innovation. Working closely with Sales, R&D, Operations, Marketing and Regional Leadership, you will ensure successful portfolio execution throughout the product lifecycle while contributing to ABB’s strategic growth ambitions.

This role is contributing to the ABB Installation Products Division, Medium Voltage Cable Accessories (ELIP) business in EMEA & Asia. Main stakeholders are the Installation Products Regional Leader, Portfolio Manager, Sales Manager, R&D Manager, Operations Manager, Market Development teams, and regional Sales organizations.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Defining and executing the product line strategy and roadmap based on customer needs, market attractiveness, and competitive positioning, aligned with the ELIP EMEA strategy.
- Building a strong understanding of Medium Voltage cable accessories markets, utility requirements, qualification processes, customer applications, routes to market, and competitive landscape to identify portfolio gaps and growth opportunities.
- Managing the full product lifecycle, including new product development, launch, profitability optimization, portfolio rationalization, pricing strategy, and phase-out activities.
- Translating customer and market insights into product requirements, business cases, and development priorities while partnering with R&D to accelerate innovation and product development.
- Developing and executing product launch and go-to-market strategies, ensuring operational readiness and strong collaboration with Market Development and Sales teams across target markets.
- Monitoring product line performance through key business metrics, including orders, revenue, profitability, portfolio vitality, and new product sales, while driving corrective actions where required.
- Evaluating strategic partnerships and potential M&A opportunities to strengthen the portfolio and support long-term business growth.
- Driving alignment across Sales, Marketing, R&D, Operations, Finance, and Market Development functions to ensure effective execution of portfolio priorities.
- Leading, coaching, and developing Product Managers, fostering a high-performance culture focused on customer value, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensuring compliance with ABB policies and applicable regulatory, safety, integrity, quality, and sustainability requirements.

Qualifications for the role
- 7+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Line Management, New Product Development, Business Development, or related roles within the electrification industry.
- Proven Medium Voltage experience is required; experience in MV cable accessories, utility markets, and power distribution applications is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, industry trends, utility qualification processes, and the ability to translate these into clear product priorities and business opportunities.
- Demonstrated experience managing product portfolios, product lifecycle activities, new product launches, and go-to-market strategies.
- Proven ability to influence and align cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, R&D, Operations, and Finance in an international environment.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with the ability to evaluate market opportunities, business performance, and investment decisions.
- Leadership experience with the ability to coach, develop, and inspire product management teams.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, business, or a related discipline.
