Is this job info correct?

Job Description This is a remote position. Simulation-Based Work Experience Programme — Founding Cohort Opportunity Overview The Product Management pathway places participants inside realistic product situations where there is rarely one obviously correct answer. Participants may inherit an unclear product problem, conflicting stakeholder requests, weak evidence, limited engineering capacity, competing priorities or a product that is not delivering the expected outcome. The participant's responsibility is to determine what should happen next and why. The simulations assess product judgement, not the ability to repeat frameworks. The responsibilities below represent the breadth of professional work available across the simulation library. Individual participants will encounter different combinations depending on the simulations they activate and may undertake simulations across other disciplines. Requirements Workplace Responsibilities & Jobs to Be Done Problem discovery: You may investigate an ambiguous business or user problem, distinguish symptoms from underlying causes and determine what should be explored further. User-needs analysis: You may analyse research, behavioural information, stakeholder feedback or other evidence to identify meaningful user needs rather than accepting requested features as requirements. Problem definition: You may translate fragmented evidence into clear problem statements establishing who is affected, what problem exists, why it matters and what remains uncertain. Assumption identification: You may identify assumptions underlying a proposed product direction and determine which represent the greatest risk and require validation. Hypothesis development: You may develop testable hypotheses connecting a proposed intervention to expected changes in user behaviour, business performance or service outcomes. Outcome definition: You may distinguish product outputs from meaningful outcomes and recommend measurable indicators demonstrating whether the product creates value. Opportunity assessment: You may evaluate product opportunities and determine which should receive investment based on user value, strategic alignment, evidence, feasibility and expected impact. Prioritisation: You may receive competing feature requests and establish a defensible prioritisation approach. Backlog management: You may assess a product backlog, identify items requiring refinement or removal and determine sequencing against product outcomes and delivery constraints. Roadmap decision-making: You may evaluate competing roadmap priorities and recommend a sequence of investment balancing short-term needs with longer-term objectives. Product trade-offs: You may face limited engineering capacity, deadlines, technical debt or competing stakeholder demands and explain what should be prioritised, delayed or rejected. Experiment design: You may design an experiment or validation approach to reduce uncertainty before significant delivery investment. Metrics and performance: You may analyse product-performance information, identify meaningful signals and recommend what the team should investigate or change. Stakeholder management: You may communicate difficult product decisions, challenge solution-first thinking and explain why evidence supports one direction over another. Discovery-to-delivery transition: You may determine when sufficient evidence exists to progress an opportunity into delivery and identify remaining uncertainties. Product strategy: More advanced simulations may require you to assess market, organisational and user context and recommend strategic product direction. Professional Artefacts & Evidence of Work Product Problem Statement: You may produce an evidence-based definition of the user or business problem, identifying affected users, impact and outstanding uncertainties. User Needs Assessment: You may synthesise research and contextual evidence into articulated user needs and explain their implications for product decisions. Product Hypothesis: You may develop a structured hypothesis describing an intervention, target users, expected outcome and evidence required for validation. Prioritisation Assessment: You may evaluate competing opportunities, features or backlog items, showing the criteria used and rationale behind your recommendations. Product Recommendation Paper: You may present the problem, available evidence, viable options, key trade-offs and your recommended product direction. Outcome and Metrics Framework: You may define desired outcomes and establish measures demonstrating whether those outcomes are being achieved. Product Roadmap Recommendation: You may propose a sequence of product priorities supported by evidence, dependencies, expected value, risk and delivery considerations. Experiment or Validation Plan: You may design a method for testing an important assumption or hypothesis before significant investment is committed. Backlog Decision Record: You may demonstrate how you assessed, prioritised, refined, sequenced or rejected product work and explain the reasoning. Stakeholder Decision Communication: You may prepare communications explaining a product decision, supporting evidence, relevant trade-offs and implications. Each artefact should demonstrate the ability to connect evidence to decisions rather than merely produce polished documentation. Benefits Capabilities You Can Demonstrate Product Discovery • Product Strategy • User-Centred Thinking • Problem Framing • Prioritisation • Evidence-Based Decision-Making • Stakeholder Management • Product Delivery • Metrics • Experimentation • Commercial Thinking • Communication Who Should Apply? Aspiring Product Managers, Associate Product Managers, Business Analysts moving into Product, Delivery professionals, founders, graduates, career changers and existing Product professionals seeking stronger evidence of applied capability.
