Contract Product Manager (6 months) Term: Initial 6 months (contract) Reports to: Chief Product & Marketing Officer Location: Remote-friendly within NZ/AU time zones Role overview Deliver product proofs and customer-facing assets that accelerate validation and go‑to‑market for new RedShield capabilities. The contractor bridges product management and product marketing: planning/prioritizing new offerings (or significant updates to existing ones), building demos, writing requirements and inclusions, and producing clear external copy. Key responsibilities Demo development Build, maintain, and iterate on demos for new and emerging solution/service areas. Create demo data, scenarios, and scripts that show clear value to security, platform, and procurement stakeholders. Product planning and prioritisation Contribute to quarterly prioritisation across the product portfolio; prepare option analyses and short business cases. Maintain lightweight roadmaps and decision logs. Run quick discovery (customer interviews, competitor scans) to inform priorities. Requirements & documentation Write inclusions documents for advanced patches and other solutions/services as needed. Produce feature descriptions, acceptance criteria, and success measures for engineering. Draft demo scripts and runbooks for SA team and Customer Success. Product marketing support Draft and maintain concise web copy, one‑pagers, and slide content for new features. Translate technical capabilities (e.g., advanced patches) into buyer‑oriented benefits and outcomes. Partner with Marketing on naming, messaging, and release notes. RedShield advanced patches Work with the tech team (ASD, cloud) to scope, package, and document advanced patches (use cases, risks, roll‑back plans). Expected deliverables (examples) 3-5 interactive demos with scripts and reset instructions. Requirements documents for new service/solution areas (for Jira). Inclusions documents for each new capability (e.g., Site Scraping Advanced Patch - v1 ). Feature briefs (≤3 pages) with problem, approach, acceptance criteria, measures. Sales flyer 2-3 pages per new offering; sales presentation slide; objections handling doc; website copy blocks for launch pages. Demo environment checklist and monthly update log. Skills & experience 5+ years in product management or technical product marketing within security, networking, or cloud/SaaS. Hands‑on demo building and operating. Strong technical writing: ability to create inclusions, feature briefs, and customer‑ready copy. Evidence of prioritising with data: customer interviews, simple cost/benefit, and decision logs. Strongly preferred: familiarity with application security, app‑layer security, and modern web architectures (APIs, microservices, CDNs).
