About Napo
Napo started with a dog. Our founder JP struggled to get decent insurance for his dachshund, Napoleon, as he got older. When Napo passed away, JP built the company he wished had existed, one that actually looks after pets and the people who love them.
That's still the whole point. We offer lifetime cover up to £16,000 a year, free 24/7 vet video calls through FirstVet, and we pay vets directly so owners aren't stuck managing bills while their pet's unwell. We're proud to be a Which? Best Buy, rated Defaqto 5-star and Excellent on Trustpilot, and we back that up where it counts too, with a 95% claim acceptance rate and most claims settled within 5 days.
We're a small team building something people notice. Everyone at Napo owns real problems and sees their work go live fast, no bureaucracy, no waiting around for six people to sign off. If you want to do work that changes how pet owners experience insurance, and see the impact within weeks not years, we'd love to hear from you. 🐾
Why join us
Join a powerful team that's building something pet owners really need.
We're a bit obsessed with getting things right for pets and the humans who love them. That's the whole point of Napo, and it's why we need people who care about doing the work well, not just doing it.
If that sounds like your kind of challenge, we'd love to hear from you. Come help us build a better way to insure pets. 🐾
The Role
We're looking for a Product Manager to help us shape the future of pet care. This role sits within our core product team, focused on growth. You'll drive progress against key metrics across retention and growth, and work cross-functionally with engineering, design, data and commercial teams to define and deliver the projects that move them. The role will report into the Head of Product.
What You'll Be Doing
Identify and define growth projects. You’ll find and prioritise work that improves conversion and reduces churn, grounded in real data rather than guesswork.
Deliver new growth initiatives. Beyond optimising what already exists, you’ll support the release of channels and partnerships that bring more pets to Napo.
Work cross-functionally to get things done. You’ll partner with engineering, design, data science and commercial teams to turn business priorities into a clear, prioritised plan, and see it through.
Use data to size and measure impact. You’ll size opportunities upfront using data and customer insight, then measure what actually happened once it’s live.
Communicate with clarity and honesty. You’ll keep stakeholders updated on progress, trade-offs and results, including when things haven’t gone to plan.
What We're Looking For
Skills
Strong grasp of product and business metrics, and the ability to define, track and improve them.
Data-literate, not a data specialist. You can work with data scientists to size opportunities and measure impact, without needing to be an expert yourself.
A clear communicator. You can turn a complex problem into a simple plan that stakeholders support.
Experience
At least 2 years as a growth or retention PM. You’ve worked specifically on these problems before, not just product management in general.
A life before product, ideally. Experience in another function first, like sales, marketing, commercials, data science, engineering or design, giving you a broader lens on problems.
A track record of moving numbers. You’ve defined and delivered projects that moved a specific metric through experimentation, not just shipped features.
Working in cross-functional teams. You’ve worked cross-functionally, supporting engineering, design, data and compliance to build great products.
How You Work
Hands-on and takes ownership. You define the plan, surface risks early and proactively help the team move forward.
Collaborative and clear. You build alignment through regular updates with your key stakeholders, not just at milestones.
Outcome-focused. You connect every project back to the metric it’s meant to move.
Comfortable across a broad surface area. You work across funnel, retention and renewals rather than staying in one narrow lane.
Curious and open to feedback. You take it well, and you actively look for it.
