Job Overview

The Product Manager — HVH is responsible for owning end-to-end product delivery within the High Volume Hiring (HVH) platform, a conversational AI product designed to support frontline recruitment at scale. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy and engineering execution, operating in a fast-moving environment where product managers are expected to have deep involvement in technical decisions, integration design, and conversational logic — not just roadmap planning.

The PM will work closely with Engineering and the Technical Lead to define requirements, guide implementation decisions, and ensure that features are technically sound and aligned with business goals. This role requires someone who can bridge the gap between product thinking and engineering reality — someone who earns the trust of engineers by understanding how things are built, not just what needs to be built.

Primary stakeholders include internal iCIMS teams, HVH customers, and cross-functional partners across Engineering, Professional Services, and GTM.

We uniquely do that by combining enterprise-grade hiring technology, AI-powered insights and automation, and connected talent experiences to help organizations improve hiring outcomes while driving measurable impact.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Roadmap (Discovery)

  • Define and maintain the HVH product roadmap, aligned with company goals and HVH customer needs in high-volume frontline recruitment contexts.
  • Lead discovery efforts that span product and engineering — including API design reviews, integration scoping, and conversational flow architecture — to ensure feasibility is built into the discovery process, not bolted on after.
  • Contribute to Voice of the Customer (VoC) efforts by maintaining direct exposure to HVH customers and frontline hiring contexts and surfacing insights to inform product decisions.
  • Develop and prioritize the product backlog, balancing short-term customer needs with long-term platform health.
  • Apply Privacy by Design (PbD) guidelines and identify privacy risks in discovery and development assessments.

Product Development (Development)

  • Own the full feature delivery cycle for assigned scope — from requirements definition and user story writing, through engineering collaboration and QA alignment, to release coordination and post-launch validation.
  • Act as the primary bridge between product vision and engineering execution — translating business requirements into clear, technically grounded user stories, acceptance criteria, and implementation guidance.
  • Work closely with the Technical Lead and Engineering team to provide ongoing direction on feature priorities, edge cases, and integration behavior — including conversational logic, API consumption, and platform configuration.
  • Maintain a working understanding of the HVH technical architecture — including integration patterns, data flows, and platform constraints — sufficient to have credible technical conversations with engineers and flag risks early.
  • Maintain and refine the Product Backlog for assigned scope, presenting business context and customer rationale to support prioritization decisions made in collaboration with the Sr. Manager of Product.
  • Manage dependencies across engineering workstreams and communicate risk early and often to leadership.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design to define requirements and ensure that product decisions are grounded in what can realistically be built and maintained.

Execution and Delivery (Launch)

  • Ensure feature releases are operationally ready by producing clear documentation, configuration guides, and handoff materials for Professional Services and implementation teams.
  • Support GTM coordination for HVH feature launches, working with relevant teams to ensure organizational readiness and clear communication of what's new and why it matters.
  • Contribute to defining success metrics for features and releases, ensuring shared clarity on what 'done' and 'successful' look like before development begins.
  • Contribute to customer enablement sessions (e.g., AMAs, webinars, live sessions) as needed.
  • Maintain data hygiene standards in defined systems of record.

Performance Tracking and Optimization (Grow and Retire)

  • Monitor KPIs and core events for assigned features, contributing to a shared understanding of product success and customer health across the HVH platform.
  • Use data-driven insights to iterate on the product and inform future development priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to retire, consolidate, or simplify features that no longer serve customer needs at scale.

Operational / Behavioral

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders — Engineering, PS, iCIMS product teams — to ensure alignment and avoid duplication of effort.
  • Lead and facilitate team meetings, sprint reviews, and discovery sessions.
  • Actively seek feedback from engineers, customers, and internal stakeholders; synthesize it into actionable product decisions.
  • Engage directly with HVH customers to validate assumptions and surface unmet needs.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to work as a product-engineering bridge: comfortable reading API documentation, reviewing technical specs, understanding integration flows, and providing meaningful input on implementation decisions — without needing to write the code.
  • Experience building or managing conversational AI, chatbot, or automated workflow products is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with high-volume hiring, frontline recruitment, or workforce management products is a plus.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams in an agile environment — able to write detailed user stories, define acceptance criteria, and participate meaningfully in technical discussions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; comfortable working with data to evaluate product decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English — able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple features and workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with conversational AI products or LLM-based features is strongly preferred — curiosity and learning agility are equally valued.
  • Understanding of Privacy by Design (PbD) guidelines and ability to identify and flag privacy risks in product development.
  • Competitive awareness of the HVH and conversational AI landscape; ability to synthesize market signals into product decisions.

Preferred

  • BA/BS or equivalent in a related field (Computer Science, Product Management, Business, or similar).
  • Product management certifications (e.g., AIPMM, Pragmatic Institute) are a plus but not required.
