Care.com is a consumer tech company with heart. We're on a mission to solve a human challenge we all face: finding great care for the ones we love. We're moms and dads and pet parents. We have parents and grandparents, so we understand that everyone, at some point in their lives, could use a helping hand. Our culture and our products reflect that.
Care.com’s CareBenefits is dedicated to transforming the way companies support their employees’ caregiving needs. Our mission is to provide businesses with innovative solutions that help employees manage family care responsibilities, boosting workplace satisfaction and productivity. As a team of dedicated professionals, we understand the complexities of caregiving responsibilities and offer holistic services to support the diverse needs of today's workforce. Our approach combines advanced data analytics, cutting-edge technology, and deep industry expertise to deliver comprehensive care solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing employee benefits.
At CareBenefits, we value innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to enhancing employee well-being. If you’re passionate about driving meaningful change and improving work environments through strategic care solutions, CareBenefits is the place where your talents can make a significant impact. We are looking for a Product Manager to join our team and help us shape the future of employee care benefits
The Product Manager, Benefits Strategy — Core Care Delivery owns plan design, ROI cases, and roadmap priorities for Care.com's operationally complex, highest-revenue benefit lines: Backup Care, Care Specialists, Care Membership, and Care Center Solutions. These four lines drive roughly 93% of Enterprise benefits revenue and run on a national delivery network of care providers — this is a defend-and-scale mandate, not a build-from-zero one.
Reporting to the Sr. Director/Director, Enterprise Product Design & Development, this role is one of two Product Manager peers in the newly staffed benefits-product pod. Where the Emerging Benefits Product Manager owns the whitespace growth agenda, this role protects and scales the core that the segment's largest, most strategic accounts depend on — partnering closely with Enterprise Operations on the delivery, supply, and service-level realities that plan design must account for.
What You'll Do:
- Define plan-design strategy for Backup Care, Care Specialists, Care Membership, and Care Center Solutions — deciding what to build, enhance, or sunset within the portfolio strategy set by the Sr. Director/Director
- Determine how to bundle and package these offerings for large, sophisticated enterprise buyers and strategic accounts
- Translate strategy into technical build requirements and roadmap priorities, partnering with the Technical PM & Engineering pod on feasibility and sequencing
- Partner closely with Enterprise Operations on the national care-provider delivery network — supply, staffing, and service-level agreements needed to protect and scale the core
- Monitor competitive offerings and named feature gaps affecting Backup Care and related core lines, given the concentrated revenue and renewal risk they carry
- Develop and maintain benefit design logic — eligibility rules, utilization assumptions, plan tiers — for the core lines
- Build ROI and business cases for core-line enhancements, weighing investment against retention and renewal risk
- Manage core-line roadmap execution from concept through launch and iteration, coordinating design, engineering, data, and Operations partners
- Partner with UX/UI & Design to ensure care-provider- and member-facing experience quality meets Care.com's standards
- Partner with Client Success & Revenue Enablement and Sales to protect renewals and defend competitive position, especially for strategic and top-tier accounts
- Gather client and market feedback on named feature gaps and competitive losses, prioritizing the roadmap accordingly
- Define and track retention, utilization, and delivery-quality metrics for the core lines; report on performance against renewal and retention targets, flagging risk early
- 3–5 years of product management experience, ideally managing an established, revenue-critical product line
- Experience with operationally complex products involving service delivery, supply, staffing, or provider/vendor networks
- Experience designing or supporting employee benefit offerings, including how employers evaluate cost, utilization, and ROI
- Comfortable managing renewal-risk and retention-sensitive stakeholder relationships, including large or strategic accounts
- Structured, analytical approach to business cases — comfortable building ROI models for defend-and-scale investment decisions
- Ability to operate independently as an individual contributor managing a small, high-stakes portfolio
- Preferred: experience at a benefits, insurtech, or healthtech company with a national or multi-market delivery/supply network; familiarity with strategic/enterprise account dynamics and renewal cycles; exposure to a private-equity-backed or high-growth environment
