What’s the Role?

The Product Manager – Growth & Landing Page Optimization will own execution of the landing page strategy and conversion optimization roadmap across Rate’s core acquisition experiences.

This role will report directly to the SVP of Growth Experience & Optimization (GXO) and is primarily execution-focused, serving as the bridge between strategy and delivery. The individual will translate insights into structured test hypotheses, manage cross-functional execution with Product and Engineering teams, and drive measurable improvements in funded loan performance across Retail, Consumer Direct and Emerging Product channels.

While focused on experimentation delivery, this role will operate with strong product management discipline — writing briefs, defining acceptance criteria, prioritizing backlogs and collaborating closely with broader Product and Technology teams to ensure alignment with platform architecture, roadmap initiatives and multi-product expansion strategy

Responsibilities

Experimentation & Growth Execution:

  • Own and prioritize the end-to-end landing page optimization and experimentation backlog across Retail and Consumer Direct acquisition funnels, plus emerging products

  • Develop structured, data-backed hypotheses informed by channel performance, funnel diagnostics, behavioral insights and competitive positioning

  • Align experimentation roadmap to funded loan KPIs, revenue per loan, and channel-level efficiency metrics (CPL, CAC, ROAS)

  • Define clear primary and secondary success metrics tied to business impact across the full lifecycle (visitor → lead → application start → application complete → funded)

  • Partner with Channel and Analytics teams to identify drop-off points and quantify opportunity size before test deployment

  • Drive disciplined post-test analysis and institutionalize learnings to continuously improve future test velocity and effectiveness

Cross-Functional Delivery:

  • Work closely with Marketing Channel Managers (Paid Search, Paid Social, Display, Affiliate, Email, SEO, Direct Mail and Retail Marketing) to ensure message continuity and offer alignment from advertisement to landing page

  • Work closely with Consumer Direct and Retail channel leaders, as well as Emerging Product teams, to align landing experiences with channel strategy, product positioning and growth objectives

  • Ensure consistency of value propositions, pricing, disclosures and call-to-action strategy across channel-specific acquisition funnels

  • Partner with Engineering, Design and Web Production to ship landing page variations, as well as A/B and multivariate tests

  • Write detailed product briefs, user stories and acceptance criteria (Jira or similar)

  • Ensure accurate QA and implementation of experiments prior to launch

  • Manage experimentation platform setup (Adobe Target or similar)

  • Create and edit landing pages within current CMS (ContentStack or similar Headless CMS)

Analytics & Insight Generation:

  • Collaborate with Analytics and Channel Owners to evaluate downstream impact on application start, completion and funded metrics — not just top-of-funnel conversion

  • Partner with Marketing and Product teams to measure impact on revenue per loan, customer lifetime value and multi-product adoption

  • Translate complex performance data into clear, actionable recommendations for Product, Marketing and Executive Stakeholders

  • Maintain structured documentation of experiment hypotheses, results and learnings to build institutional knowledge and accelerate future test velocity

  • Present performance summaries and revenue impact analysis to senior stakeholders, clearly articulating opportunity areas and growth strategy

Product Collaboration:

  • Partner closely with Product Managers across acquisition and application platforms to align experimentation initiatives with broader product roadmap priorities

  • Influence roadmap planning by surfacing data-driven insights and growth opportunities uncovered through experimentation

  • Identify platform-level enhancements (modular components, personalization capabilities, testing infrastructure, CMS flexibility) that unlock scalable experimentation and future multi-product growth

  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to design flexible landing and funnel architectures that support cross-sell, bundled offers and dynamic product sequencing

  • Serve as the growth execution subject matter expert within Product forums, advocating for experimentation velocity and measurable business outcomes

Qualifications

  • 4–8 years of experience in Growth Product Management, Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), Digital Product or Performance Marketing roles within high-volume digital environments

  • Proven hands-on experience owning and executing A/B testing programs using enterprise platforms such as Adobe Target, Optimizely or similar

  • Demonstrated ability to size opportunities, define success metrics and translate data into clear, prioritized growth recommendations

  • Strong understanding of acquisition funnels and funded loan conversion metrics, with the ability to connect experiment results to revenue impact

  • Ability to analyze experiment results and make data-informed recommendations

  • Comfortable working directly with Engineering, Design and Web Production teams, including writing user stories and technical requirements

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript concepts sufficient to scope, QA and troubleshoot front-end test implementations

  • Strong written communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting performance insights to cross-functional stakeholders

  • Experience in Mortgage, FinTech, Financial Services or other high-consideration consumer products strongly preferred

  • Bias toward execution, ownership mindset and ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, cross-functional environments

  • Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma, with the ability to create low- to mid-fidelity wireframes and test variations independently

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Analytics or related field preferred

  • Understanding of Agile product and project management methodologies

  • Proficiency with digital project management tools such as Jira, Asana, ServiceNow or similar

  • Familiarity with web analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics, and experimentation platforms such as Adobe Target

  • Experience operating in regulated industries like mortgage or familiarity with compliance considerations for public-facing digital experiences preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and drive projects through execution in cross-functional environments

  • Experience leveraging AI-powered tools and large language models (LLMs) to accelerate hypothesis development, copy iteration, wireframing and rapid prototyping
