Job Description Summary

Provide timely and quality focused business analysis and assist business stakeholders and Project Managers to ensure success of project delivery. Identify improvement initiatives and solutions and manage their implementation within the business. Understand business needs and opportunities, including a good understanding of business risk and ability to perform and communicate feasibility studies. Manage work estimation and planning of analytical activities which may include team resourcing, project timeframes and scope of projects. Develop and execute plans delegated by managers through reporting and status updates. Create business cases for new or existing ventures the business is considering. Provide risk assessment and general information about impact on the business.

Job Description

Analyze and evaluate the feasibility and relevance of proposed complex financial products, and develop and amend as necessary with guidance from senior colleagues. May also be responsible for supervising activities performed by a financial product development or specialist team. Evaluate the feasibility/relevance of proposed solutions, working in cross-functional or agile teams to develop and deliver significant aspects of the development program. Oversee an operational area with guidance from senior colleagues. Could involve responsibility for development or delivery (or both). Take responsibility for all aspects of a life cycle of a product or set of products, including long- and short-term development and marketing. Stay abreast of trends in the marketplace to ensure the product's competitive position. Develop data-driven analyses to surface new opportunities to differentiate and improve products and user experiences, ensuring consistency across digital products, services, and channels. Skills Manage and develop all aspects of a product or service to ensure it achieves its full impact and value in the market. Determine and analyze trends from data that is collected to assist in compiling reports that will help in decision-making. Analyze and research client and market conditions and facts in order to develop a full and comprehensive understanding of the client and its market to enable maximum returns. Plan, organize, prioritize and oversee activities to efficiently meet objectives.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with functional areas within the department to understand the business case and primary objectives of new projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment on initiatives and projects.
  • Ability to be involved in numerous projects simultaneously and understand how to prioritize alongside supporting operational functions.
  • Reviews operational procedures and methods; maps current business processes; defines and analyzes business activities; identifies best practices; and recommends improvements.
  • Consults with users to identify, analyze, refine, and document business requirements.
  • Perform gap analysis and translate findings into business process and/or system requirements;
  • Support quality assurance reviews of operational processes and oversight.
  • Gather data to better forecast and optimize utilization of staff. Develop and define metrics (i.e. productivity, quality, staffing) for department targets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of

  • Functional, operational, and technical requirements of assigned project(s)/business unit initiatives.
  • Back-office concepts, practices and procedures used in the securities industry.
  • General financial industry knowledge and knowledge of supported business area.
  • Concepts, practices, and procedures analyzing business processes. Business analytics and process improvement.
  • Hyland OnBase enterprise content management capabilities, including document management, workflow, imaging, records retention, and system integrations supporting business processes.

Skill in

· Verbal and written communication;

  • Analytics and problem solving; and decision making.
  • Preparing various reports, summaries, surveys, and written recommendations.
  • Developing and maintaining project plans.
  • Business Analysis tools: Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

  • Maintain a strong attention to detail;
  • Communicate effectively with a broad range of audiences;
  • Quickly learn new concepts, systems, and processes;
  • Translate business needs into requirements for Hyland OnBase configuration, workflow, testing, and enhancement initiatives;
  • Establish priorities and meet project time and quality targets; and
  • Work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ask pointed questions to verify clear understanding of client issues.
  • Analyze a business function and derive a set of requirements to satisfy a general request.
  • Take ownership of an aspect or task on a project with little to no assistance.
