Purpose and Scope
The Product Manager will report to the Director of Marketing and have a focus on brand strategy and tactical execution supporting the overall success for a specific brand or brands. This position will work with cross functional teams across all positions in the Marketing Department, Sales, Sales Operations, Regulatory as well as outside vendors. Responsible for brand strategy, execution of marketing tactics and programs and performance, managing the expense budget, creating sales forecasts and ensuring consistent practices throughout all phases of the product life cycle while adhering to budget, scope, timeline and schedule requirements.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop and execute strategic brand plans and engagement strategies for Tolmar products, in alignment with key cross-functional stakeholders (including Medical, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access) that ultimately support unmet patient needs.
- Determine market research needs to understand how to most effectively influence prescribing decisions.
- Identify market opportunities, industry trends and customer targets through competitive analysis, positioning, and marketing strategy assessments.
- Integrate information and data across functions and geographies, as well as external knowledge, to create decisive insights that drive the business forward.
- Analyze product performance relative to key performance initiatives and adjust plans as necessary
- Develop focused tactical plans relative to the strategic priorities for the brands, including relevant key performance indicators.
- Determine effective marketing communication channels to meet brand plan goals
- Develop training & promotional material:
- Engage with agencies to develop material
- Manage editing, proofreading and revision of material
- Manage the internal approval process/MLP or Paab
- Track inventory and expiry date
- Ship promotional material to reps
- Present during POA sessions to the field organization
- Attend and represent the Company at conferences and community events, as appropriate.
- Comply with all provincial and federal laws, regulations and guidelines and Tolmar’s standards and policies relating to all job activities.
- Report any potential adverse events/safety information or products complaints for Tolmar products to the Medical Information and Pharmacovigilance department, per company requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES & EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor degree is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- Aptitude for learning technical and scientific product information
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills and proven strategic thinker.
- Ability to manage multiple projects both inside and outside the organization.
- Product Manager level: a minimum of 2 years’ progressive marketing experience.
- Experience in Urology and Oncology an asset.
- Fluency in both French and English preferred
- Experience in a start-up or part of an expansion sales force preferred
- The position is based in Quebec or Ontario
- Travel is required up to 25%
