About the position

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Product Owner to support the delivery and ongoing development of digital solutions for one of our key clients in the insurance industry.
In this role, you will combine product ownership, business analysis, requirements engineering, and project coordination. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders, helping translate business needs into clear requirements, manage priorities and backlogs, and ensure smooth delivery of ongoing initiatives.

You will act as a trusted partner to the existing Product Owner, taking ownership of delegated areas and stepping in as a proxy Product Owner when needed.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently, pays close attention to detail, and takes initiative to move things forward without requiring constant direction.

Key responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, clarify, and document business and technical requirements
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and tasks for delivery teams
• Work closely with the Product Owner, providing day-to-day support and taking ownership of delegated activities
• Act as a proxy Product Owner when needed, managing assigned areas of product scope
• Maintain and prioritize product backlogs, scope, and delivery plans
• Prepare, coordinate, and facilitate Scrum ceremonies
• Set up and maintain Jira projects, workflows, boards, and task structures
• Coordinate ongoing operational activities and project-based initiatives
• Track and communicate progress, decisions, risks, blockers, and dependencies
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product, UX/UI design, and engineering teams
• Proactively use AI tools to support requirements analysis, documentation, UX/UI-related activities, and everyday tasks
• Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and ensure their successful delivery

What we are looking for

• Mid-level experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a similar product-focused role
• Professional proficiency in both French and English (mandatory)
• Practical experience in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation
• Good understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and Scrum practices
• Hands-on experience working with and configuring Jira
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Good technical understanding and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams
• Ability to work across both operational and project environments
• Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a structured approach to work
• Proactive, dependable, and ownership-driven mindset
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the wider team
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Curiosity and openness to using AI tools and new technologies to improve efficiency and quality of everyday work
• Collaborative attitude and commitment to achieving shared team goals
• Previous experience in the insurance industry would be an advantage
