As the Product Owner, Work and Asset Management (WAM), you will play a key role in shaping and enhancing the systems that support Regional Operations teams and field work execution.
In this role, you'll serve as the bridge between operational users, business stakeholders, and technical teams, ensuring that WAM solutions evolve to meet changing business needs while delivering maximum value to the organization. You'll have the opportunity to influence how work is planned, scheduled, and managed, driving initiatives that improve efficiency, strengthen user experience, and support operational excellence.

Key elements of this role include:
- Champion the end-user experience for Regional Operations teams by optimizing WAM solutions and related business processes.
- Partner with operational stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams to identify needs and develop effective solutions.
- Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into system enhancements, configurations, and solution designs.
- Prioritize initiatives and product improvements that deliver the greatest operational and business value.
- Lead workshops, discussions, and working sessions to uncover opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
- Assess business impacts, troubleshoot system challenges, and recommend solutions that improve operational effectiveness.
- Support solution delivery through user acceptance testing, validation activities, and issue resolution.
- Conduct business impact assessments related to system and process changes.
- Develop and contribute to training, user support materials, and change adoption activities that help teams successfully embrace new processes and technologies.
- Build strong relationships across the organization, facilitating collaboration, alignment, and informed decision-making.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and provide updates on initiatives and outcomes.
- Apply project management principles to plan, coordinate, track, and deliver initiatives.
- Coordinate and support cross-functional projects, providing progress updates, managing priorities, and helping deliver successful outcomes.
These skills will make you successful:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in product management, business analysis, and product ownership role, with experience supporting Energy Delivery processes within an electric utility environment.
- Experience working with Agile and Scrum methodologies, with the ability to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate business needs into effective technology solutions.
- Experience with Work and Asset Management (WAM) solutions and related technologies such as Maximo, CIS, Salesforce/Field Service, particularly within utility or field operations environments is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and collaboration platforms.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and applying project management practices to drive results.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate information from multiple sources.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build consensus among diverse groups.
- Experience supporting organizational change, user training, and solution adoption initiatives.
- Ability to facilitate workshops and build collaborative relationships across teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
