The Implementation Specialist is responsible for managing the successful implementation of Medicare reporting solutions for clients across a range of business and technical environments. This role serves as a key liaison between business and technical clients and internal teams to understand client requirements, configure solutions, support data integrations, and guide implementations from initial planning through production.
The ideal candidate combines strong client-facing and project management skills with technical knowledge of APIs, data integration, and system-to-system connectivity. The Implementation Specialist must be comfortable working with both business stakeholders and technical stakeholders responsible for integrating their systems with the reporting solution.
Client Implementation & Relationship Management
Lead client implementations from kickoff to production, managing requirements, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.
Serve as the primary implementation contact, building relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
Understand client processes, reporting requirements, data sources, and integration needs.
Maintain implementation plans, schedules, action items, and status updates.
Coordinate client activities with Product, Technology, Support, Operations, and other internal teams.
Identify and resolve implementation risks, issues, and dependencies.
Guide clients on Medicare reporting requirements, product capabilities, and implementation best practices.
Technical Integration
Partner with client technical teams on system integrations, including configuration, data mapping, and testing.
Troubleshoot integration issues and engage internal technical teams as needed.
Validate integrated data against business, technical, and reporting requirements.
Help clients interpret errors and identify whether issues stem from source data, integration logic, or the reporting solution.
Document requirements, technical decisions, test results, and production readiness.
Medicare Reporting & Data
Build expertise in MSP, Section 111, and other Medicare reporting requirements.
Help clients align business processes and claim data with Medicare reporting requirements.
Review client data for quality or reporting issues that may affect implementation.
Support configuration and testing of reporting rules, claim eligibility, RRE requirements, and related processes.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
Maintain implementation, technical, process, and client documentation.
Improve implementation processes, documentation, standards, and client experience.
Develop implementation best practices, templates, checklists, and resources.
Share client needs, recurring integration issues, and product enhancement opportunities with Product and Technology.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
3+ years in software implementation, systems integration, business analysis, technical consulting, or a related field.
Client-facing experience in a technology or SaaS environment.
Working knowledge of REST APIs and system integrations.
Experience with JSON and/or XML data structures.
Ability to interpret API documentation and technical specifications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong organizational and project management skills to balance multiple implementations and priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP), Section 111, NGHP reporting, or other Medicare reporting requirements.
Experience working with claims, insurance, workers' compensation, or other insurance-related data.
Project management or business analysis experience.
Success in This Role
Success in this position means clients can confidently move from implementation to production with a well-understood, thoroughly tested, and sustainable Medicare reporting integration. The Implementation Specialist is expected to be able to independently manage the business and implementation aspects of a project while having sufficient technical depth to understand API integrations, investigate issues, and effectively partner with client developers and internal technical teams.
